Better get ready – Nie No Hakoniwa - Dollhouse of Offerings is now out GOG, alongside its Soundtrack and in a Bundle!

A long time ago, an outlander appeared before the village of a long-suffering minority. In his possession was a mysterious "box" which was used by the oppressed to rise up and overthrow their oppressors.

Years later, that oppressed group formed seven noble houses and grew prosperous. However, House Shiki, which stood first among the Seven Noble Houses did not have a son to succeed the family. In order to have an heir, a young man from outside the village was adopted in to the family.

Now on GOG!

Theseekingseer: And Is this the 18+ uncensored version or do we need to apply a patch to enable the adult content therein?

bsmrk_95: The GOG version is the "all-ages" version. The patch needs to be bought seperately,

When it's patched, it should indicate "R18" in the bottom right corner, instead of "AllAges".

I wonder if the Jast version is all ages as well (since it similarly priced like on Steam (all-ages), and here).

Edit: The Jast version is R18.
Many thanks for the conformation, Sir Goblin Slayer! It seems that we need to pay an additional $10 for the +18 Adult Patch to see both the gory and erotic parts of the VN. Which is the reason why you read/play this kind of game in the first place.

They could have just made the +18 Adult Patch available for sale here like what they did with The Ditzy Demons Are in Love With Me which is also from Sekai Project to avoid any frustrations in enabling the adult contents of the game…

Anyways I’ll try to get it when there’s a big discount.

milkyhighway: From Sekai Project's discord (and straight from the CEO himself):

R18 content was refused so it is the same as Steam
avatar
milkyhighway: GOG should have the "you're purchasing a censored version of the game" disclaimer on the listing then.
Thank you for clearing this up. Well, in that case I guess I have to only blame GOG for making the wrong decision.

Aside from GOG's absurd decision not to release the R18 DLC, given all the other releases already here, could you please ask them to at least add the Galaxy achievements as they have done with many of their other games?
Gog can count on one less sale since they are refusing the patch, which let's face it, it's stupid to censor a game whose target audience is adults
Not selling the adult patch is indeed a bad decision.

I'm baffled, really. If you're going to sell eroguro, may as well provide the eroguro patch. Not only does it add the erotic scenes, but some of that gore is more than likely central to the plot. You'd lose a lot of story and this one actually has that, so a big bummer all the way.

When games like Evenicle are available on GOG in their uncensored form, considering its content description, there is no valid argument to refuse the release of similarly uncensored visual novels.

Personally I would say that the worse is not mentioning anywhere that said patch is not there. If they don't want to sell it the least they could do it have a big warning that is it the censored version.

True, not mentioning that the game is censored is actually worse.

Magnitus: If it is like Dead End Aegis and you feel aroused, then your tastes are way more edgy than mine. There were very few willing sexual encounters in the game, but with all the very detailed rapes going on around them, I just couldn't get into that head space. For most people, an erotic game it is not.
It's a game I guess? (shrugs)

Definitely my subjective impression, but that's what I got from it.

Still, I get the impression that most guys would probably feel the same way about it.
