Prepare for an old-school JRPG with a deep and mysterious storyline placed in a fictional dark city, all bathed in gorgeous 2D pixel graphics – Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion is now available on GOG with a -15% launch discount which lasts until March 1st, 2 PM UTC!

But that’s not the end of great news. Alongside the base game its following DLCs are also now available on GOG, all with the -15% price cuts which last until March 1st, 2 PM UTC:

OST – filled with 18 original tracks performed by the fantasy folk band Undreamed.

Artbook – featuring 66 pages, containing all of the visual material created in order to build the mysterious World of Gris.

Strategy Guide – 60-page official strategy guide containing a step-to-step walkthrough of the game, detailed character and monster sheets, and a further explanation of the world’s lore.

And if you want to grab them all together, feel free to do so with Frail Hearts Collection on the same -15% launch discount.

In Frail Hearts: Versicorae Domlion you’ll experience the four individual stories of characters knee-deep in madness. Being completely different people, they have their own burdens to overcome in order to be able to see the greater picture and play their part in this tragedy. The gangster, the nun, scholar, and a bookworm: how could they be connected when they've never even met each other? Just pull one thread and watch the whole web come into action.

And if the city of Gris isn’t terrifying itself, you’ll also have to face and kill a lot of strange and terrible creatures in your way. The comfort of turn-based combat allows for a tactical approach: take your time, find the enemy's weakness and strike. Except you’ll never face the same enemy twice, so make sure to utilize all the abilities of your party members if you wish to prevail. It’s up to you to save the realm and guide the heroes to a fulfilling life they are looking for or succumb to the void and watch them perish.

Into the forum with you...
Great art style(s). It's just a shame (for me) that it's attached to a "JRPG" (and even more so that it apparently does the "Let's make all our text and combat menus look as bland and generic as imaginable" thing that some of those games do).
I also get the vibe that this is maybe a "Lovecraftian" setting, which is another tick against it for me.

If the game's good, though, I hope it's successful. Lord knows genres like this still need to branch out more from being all anime, all the time.
I like to support small devs when possible, but they are making that very hard to do by leaving out Achievements for GOG customers.

Has that tag too, so I'd say it's quite clear. And unfortunate, yes.

On the other hand, at this point the mere fact that a game that looks like it'd have low requirements actually does, and also doesn't unnecessarily require 64-bit, is to be appreciated in itself (sadly).
Very glad for a demo for this one, because it is one of those I am really not sure on.
