Return to Castlevania – biggest DLC yet to the excellent, highly-praised 2D action-adventure platformer Dead Cells is now available on GOG with a special -40% discount on the base game, a -27% discount on the Return to Castlevania Bundle containing the base game and the DLC itself, and a -20% discount on Medley of Pain Bundle containing the base game and all the other DLCs (Return to Castlevania, The Bad Seed, Fatal Falls, The Queen and the Sea). All offers available until March 20th, 6 PM UTC.

The inspiration behind it all returns to its 2D action roots! Castlevania’s unforgettable characters & gothic setting meet the fast-paced combat of the award-winning roguelite Dead Cells in this unprecedented collaboration.

Return to Castlevania sees The Beheaded (protagonist of Dead Cells) enlisted by Castlevania’s vampire hunter Richter Belmont and his ally Alucard to help in the fight against dangerous enemies such as werewolves, skeletons, vampires and… Dracula!

Besides slaying hordes of Dracula’s supernatural minions, what we can expect is:

Unlocking 14 iconic weapons such as the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe & Holy Water – each translated into the fast-paced combat of Dead Cells while keeping their original essence.

Satisfying exploration of Dracula’s Castle filled with secret rooms, flame-lit corridors, gloomy tombs, beautiful paintings, food hidden in the walls. All the areas full of original monsters from the series, such as harpies, werewolves & haunted armors.

Ability to unlock 20 outfits as we progress through the castle, letting us roleplay as all your favorite characters like Alucard, Richter Belmont, Simon Belmont, Dracula himself.

Amazing boss fights in which we will fight against the very essence of evil in two intense duels versus Death and Dracula, both set against a majestic backdrop. And if you can survive these gauntlets, prepare yourself for Dead Cells’ most ambitious boss showdown yet.

Access to an alternative soundtrack made of 51 of the original Castlevania tunes, that can be heard across the entire game, and 12 of the most iconic tracks, such as Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears and Simon Belmont's Theme, reimagined in the style of Dead Cells.

It’s time to hunt for Dracula! And if you’re a fan of metroidvania and roguelike titles overall, make sure to also check out our Break the Loop sale where you’ll find lots of other amazing games from those genres on discounts as high as -90%. See you in the Count’s castle!
Been looking forward to this!
Hell yeah! Instant purchase
Wait, no Konami logo?
Is this even legal if they don't get permission from Konami?
Or this is considered a parody?
Dead Cells. One of the few platformers/stuff i actually enjoy. Good stuff new dlc!!
If I'd ever seen The Queen and the Sea on sale, I might have bought it and thus been ready to consider buying this new DLC on release since the crossover does seem interesting. And if The Queen and the Sea were on sale now, I might consider purchasing both it and the new DLC together.

But when all discounts are targeted to new players, and existing fans are taken for granted, my reaction will be the same as it was for The Queen and the Sea: No, thanks - got a gaming backlog a million miles long, anyway.
Why no discount for people who already bought the game? You advertise "with discounts" and fuck over people who bought the game previously. Seriously, I don't care but when something is advertised with discounts, I'm not paying full price. I'll either wait for a discount or miss out for disingenuous marketing strategies.

I felt the same feeling when I saw the description page of the game.
Until the devs explain that it has permission from Konami, I would hesitate to buy it.
And as a Japanese, I know well that getting such permission from Japanese companies would be quite difficult.

I'm surprised some people here are doubting the legitimacy of this release, but for those that do, here's Konami promoting this DLC on Twitter:

Big thanks to Motion Twin for not forgetting about us "gogies" !
Why have a full bundle on sale and nothing for people who've already bought the game damn.
Most likely not on GOG. But feelsbadman.

I'm agree with you.

It's a shame that they don´t care the old customers!!
The only "discounts" I see only make the new stuff more expensive, as I already own most the existing content, so that term is used pretty disingenuously, much like how GOG likes to use the term "DRM-Free", nowadays.

This is probably not the place to ask, but does anyone know when is this coming to the Android/Google Play version of the game?

That's the one I own and I couldn't find a date and price anywhere (and I've been looking for it in the game and Google Play).
