Cat scratch fever!

<span class="bold">Legend of Kay Anniversary</span> a remastered release of the PS2 action-platforming classic, is available now for Windows and soon to Mac OS X, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

From the PlayStation 2, through the Nintendo DS, and straight onto your personal home computer. The Legend of Kay returns with a completely remastered experience thanks to high resolution textures, high-poly models, modern rendering techniques and surround sound - but with all of the same level design and gameplay you may already know and love. Kay is cat. But not the cute and fuzzy kind of kitty cat, he's the leap around slashing and slaughtering gorillas kind of ninja kitty cat. Back when it was just released, the Legend of Kay was lauded for its satisfyingly dynamic combo based combat, as well as smooth, fast and super responsive controls. As it turns out, with just a few updates the gameplay holds up just as well as it ever did, and this one is a must-have for anyone with a knack for a varied and skill-based mix of combat and platforming.

Wait what? Now there's one I wasn't expecting.

Dammit GOG I already have this on preorder for WIi U, now I have to double dip.

This IS a decent game, and one that was criminally overlooked in it's original incarnation. It deserves a second chance like this.

...i´d say that high resolution textures isn´t something that should be used in advertisement---neither in GOGs nor in your own! If there is one thing this remaster clearly lacks it´s highres textures! (My judgement is based on the vid as well as on the shots)

Cool release, if a bit costly. Played this halfway through on the PS2 and it was nice enough, for a younger audience but not without challenge. For half the price I might consider buying it on the PC.

Indeed, I played a lot of games on my PS2 but don't even remember hearing about this game back then so good to see it revived and released for PC as well.

I still have this game as part of my PS2 collection, though I haven’t played it yet (like a lot of other games in that collection, like FFXII, Shadow of the Collossus, or Okami). I guess I should hook up my PS2 again sometime soon.

It's a new one on my, and frankly a welcome one. This looks a proper treat, and I'm now weighing a Day One purchase. Curse you GOG. ;)

Bavarian: Looks really cool at first glance. Just one thing that irritates me: Gamecard doesn't mention anything about gamepad support. Please tell me that's just a mistake. A console style game without gamepad support is pretty worthless to me.
There's definitely controller support in the game. :)

You most certainly should play Shadow of the Colossus and Okami, those are two of the finest games I ever played on my PS2.
