it's cool, man.

and thanks for the freebie.
Well, that was a bit alarming way to give the gift but luckily I didn't change too many passwords and emails before noticing the news update about free Fahrenheit :D .Thanks for the free game!

51nikopol: I know I am getting forgetful but when I saw the email I thought, "did I order that game?" Thanks for the clarification and the gift. Hopefully the game got rid of the problems with the original that made it unplayable, for me anyway.

LunarBolt: I played the game on Steam some time ago and didn't have any major complains, just a heads up though, the fight with the Oracle on the rooftop used to be bugged in the Remaster (not sure if they have fixed it since I played it), the QTE where Lucas runs along the wall would always fail, I had to lower the in-game resolution to be able to finish that section.
All I remember was there was a section where there were arrows pointing and I could never move fast enough to get through that section.

Cadaver747: the store don't recognize Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered as "Owned".
avatar
SargonAelther: Nearly all Amazon Prime giveaways don't get marked as owned either and the only time they did anything about that was with Prey, because "lack of ownership" prevented people from buying the DLC. Otherwise there's probably no motivation to fix it, as this problem is financially advantageous to them.
I have that issue with Oblivion when I managed to snag a Prime code that someone dropped here. For some reason it also says it's the regular GOTY edition in my library and not the Deluxe one even though that's the only one GOG sells.

It's not such a big deal for me since I don't have that huge of a library and I remember which games I own but it's still kinda annoying.

I mean the game was always hard in that aspect. You could never just watch the cutscenes play out because you were too focused on the QTEs. But that specific section I mentioned would always, inevitably fail. I used up all my lifes in that section and had to do the whole last stretch of the game with only one life. Again, as I said though, they may have patched that section in the time since I played it. But if they didn't this may be something to keep in mind while playing the Remaster.
Why each time GOG makes something great, it quickly turns into an epic fail ?!
Anyway, thanks for the gift !

Nice to see, as i already had the game so '8 hours ago' it's a nice little bonus. Much like the Resnarkled Bard's Tale that seems to be making the rounds again.

Glancing at the screenshots it looks like a PS2 game; Noting the changes on the page it includes restored content (that was cut for the US) as well as HD improved textures, but otherwise is the same.

I don't suppose they could have offered tessellation improved graphical models for characters... though i'm sure the GPU can force that so it may not be an issue.

Clownski_: Hey everyone. I wanted to clarify the situation regarding the recent order confirmation email of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered that was sent to owners of the original version of the game.

While the message incorrectly stated that you purchased a copy of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered, it was in fact a visual bug on our side that in no way affected your account or any of your payment options. The order was a gift and the game was added to your GOG library free of charge.

While the Team is currently working on a fix, the Remastered version of the game may disappear from your library for a couple of hours, but I guarantee it will reappear once we resolve it.

We’re really sorry about the confusion, and will do our best to avoid such situations in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
I see the remastered version in my library, thanks! In my order history I see it for "$0.00 Free" which is interesting as I usually buy in EUR (€) but this entry says $.

Oddly when I visit the store page I can still buy it. (it doesn't show "in library") This may be a bug.
I paid for the remaster even though it was coming my way for free. Voting with my wallet for Detroit: Become Human - it's the only voice publishers listen to.

metalos: I just got the email and first i thought it is just a scam, but loged in to my account and the game is there and it is on my purchase list. After a little panic i loged in to my online bank but there wasn't any purchase in my bank account history.
Next step was the forum and now it is clear what happened, i lightened.
Exactly the same here. Well, I didn’t check the forums first. But I checked the game page, Twitter, basically everything else, and saw no mention of the game being given to owners of the original. So I went and messaged the Support team.

I wasn’t toooo worried about having lost money because I haven’t bought a game on GOG since 2018 and the payment method I have registered here is expired. But it was a mystery that needed solving.

Anyway, thanks for the free game, GOG

We completely understand, and it teaches us not to panic and assume the worst :)

I know in my case it wouldn't have been such a long time ago that I might have over-reacted to the situation.

Thank you for the free gift, and hopefully no one on the GoG team are beating themselves up over a misunderstanding!
