Hey there GoG team,

I received an email a few weeks ago saying the following:

Dear user, it looks like your GOG.com free Wallet funds will expire on December 9, 2016. It's the last call to use your free Wallet funds or make them valid indefinitely by adding some purchased funds.
Your free Wallet funds balance: A$ 18.28
Expires on: December 9, 2016 (11:59 PM GMT) Purchase some Wallet funds to keep the total valid indefinitely.

However when I log in to my account on the website to check, the following shows up on my wallet:

YOUR CURRENT FUNDS
A$ 18.28
Valid indefinitely

So I am REALLY confused, which one is supposed to be correct lol. Would my wallet fund be valid indefinitely or expire on the 9th of December?

Appreciate your help.

Not sure but this may answer your question, gotten from wallet user FAQ: https://www.gog.com/support/website_help/wallet

7. Do GOG Wallet funds have an expiration date?
GOG Wallet funds purchased by you using real money: no expiry date. GOG Wallet funds provided by us as ‘Free Wallet’ (e.g. in relation to our Fair Price Package): one year expiry date. This can be renewed by a further one year period by new ‘Free Wallet’ being added your account. GOG Wallet funds provided by us as ‘Free Wallet’ combined with GOG Wallet funds purchased by you using real money: no expiry date until that total balance is reduced to zero (at which point the process resets again)
Could be an error on GoG's end - no surprise there really. Write a ticket to support for clarification.

Did you purchase wallet funds or did you receive them for regional pricing compensation? In the latter case it'll expire unless you purchase wallet funds. With wallet funds purchased it's supposed to be valid indefinitely.
To be on the safe side, ask support.
The answer is in the part that mintee quoted - if you've never added purchased wallet funds, which seems to be what the email you received says, then that amount will expire, otherwise not.

Better check what the case is before the deadline given, and contact GOG Support to clarify the situation, as DeMignon suggested.
