Deals on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt & Hearts of Stone, STASIS, Victor Vran, Sanitarium and more...

You have been spooked by the spooky promo!
Halloween Monster Hunt is our celebration of the great, annual hunt of all that is spooky - whether you're gearing up for the fight or getting the hell out of harm's way, these games at up to 80% off will get you in the right Halloween mindset. Trick or treat!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the definition of a true Halloween Monster Hunt - all day, every day. Gear up for the hunt and join Geralt on a potion-fueled marathon of death, and burning passion. With a bestiary as thick as The Witcher's, the monsters never stop coming.
Victor Vran is for all the hunters out there - it's an action next-step in aRPG design - a game that puts movement and action first, truly putting the "a" in aRPG. So leap, dodge, and wallrun, around hordes of monsters and vampires - plus, you'll get to check out the special Halloween DLC!
The monsters of Sanitarium are living deep, deep inside you. Take on a psychotic cult-classic adventure across surreal and disturbing universes and take on the monsters lurking beneath your skin.
Something scary this way comes. STASIS is a spiritual successor to Sanitarium in the grungy hand-drawn art, music composed by the legendary Mark Morgan of Fallout and Planescape: Torment fame, and a constant, overwhelming feeling of loneliness and insanity.

Become the hunter or the hunted in the Halloween Monster Hunt, with 38 spooky scary titles up to 80% off including Kholat, Outlast, Deadly Premonition, Amnesia and more... We'll be Trick or Treating for five days, until Monday, November 2, 10:59 AM GMT.
Ahh, nice. Finally grabbed Nosferatu, and took a chance on Knock-Knock.

Niggles: Whats wrong with Costume Quest? (aside from being a bit easy its quite harmless...)

inc09nito: It's boring, very repetitive and totally uninteresting.I played it through the end and I can say it was a waste of time (I did however wanted to get something out of money I had spent on it)
The setting and concept are really nice. I played with my kid and he really enjoyed it. That said, I agree it soon grows very repetitive. The included expansion, or whatever it is called, is pure filler. The original game, though short, nearly overstays its welcome. Only bother with the expansion if you insist on playing games til you're sick of them.
This is a fine promo, thanks!

Good deals for those interested. :)
Blimey I own a lot of these and the ones I dont... I'll be awaiting a steeper discount on. Still, a lot of good gubbins on this one - and its not all the usual suspects either.

Got most of these, but STASIS is definitely tempting. Is Victor Vran suitably different from The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing that there are reasons to own both?

Yezemin: How is Kholat gameplay-wise? Just exploration? Or are there action elements as well?
Probably most comparable to Amnesia, in that there are monsters but its best to avoid them and hide a lot. As someone who is interested in the original mystery I wanted to like this game, but it didn't quite come together for me on the first attempt at playing it. Maybe I'll give it another chance if I get snowed in one day. :)

Luned: The Last Door is a definite buy for adventure fans at $2.49.

Don't be put off by the 8-bit (16-bit?) visuals. Somehow the devs managed to use the limitations of low-res to improve the creepy atmosphere. The story is great and the soundtrack's a nice bonus.
I will second this. I usually avoid retro indie games like the plague, but I tried this on a whim & was instantly hooked.

The soundtrack was the biggest culprit, as it draws you in & doesn't let go. Honestly, the music alone is worth the asking full price. It's a work of pure genius.

Of course, the writing is also very good. It's slow paced horror. Even though it has a couple of jump scares, they're very well used. It sets you up for them very nicely. You know you're gonna get spooked & you can't avoid it.
I know Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has low ratings, but is it worth the current price? The first version was great so I've always wondered about the 2nd one.
Apropos Halloween:
Murder Party is a quite okay low-budget horror-comedy. At Halloween, a lonely dude finds an invitation to a 'Murder Party' lying on the street. He shows up, only to be kidnapped by hipsters who intends to murder him as concept art.

JLH: I guess it's time I try Alan wake's American nightmare...

Try the original Alan wake if you haven't already. It's so good. Has a Stephen king vibe. Deadly premonition is another good one with a twin peaks kinda vibe.

omega64: American Nightmare is quite different, you replay 3 levels 3 times with slight differences each time.
yeah I've heard. well...I figure the price is right. I passed on it the last few times it's shown up for sale for a similar price. it's been in the back of my mind to at least try it though. not going in with super high expectations...maybe i'll like it. some folks do.

Niggles: Didnt realise that!!.He has voice that suits narration type work (im a fan!!) :D..Might have to look at Kholat i think..
Not only this but mr Bean is a great actor overall. :)

I haven't read much about the game as I didn't wanted to spoil anything about the story, but from what little I read, it is apparently a walking simulator type of adventure which focuses on exploration and immersion. With a quick glance on metacritic, i saw that the reviews it received so far are mixed. And from what I see on HLTB, we can expect 5-7 hours of gameplay which is nice for this type of game I guess. I'll have to make up my mind later, after I check out all the games offered. ;)
Wow, how could I miss the big fat 90% discount for Deadly Premonition on June 19?

Vythonaut: *hint*
It is regionally priced.
*hint* :P

Smannesman: Are you saying I should buy it through Kinguin?
I don't know man...
Nah, I was just joking. I don't even know who this Pinguin is! :)
some great games on this list, wish I had the extra $$$ to plunk down for Stasis....
