I recently purchased NWN2 and am having an issue. I got an error message that told me of a cd key not being valid.

My friend tells me that someone has already used that key. so, it must be the same as the one i was generated.

As noted at the bottom of the description on the Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete store page, you'll need to open a support ticket. If you're having trouble with the chatbot, repeatedly saying the suggestion wasn't helpful should make it prompt you for information to open a support ticket. Once that's done, unfortunately it can take weeks to get a response.

I have updated the file manually, but havent used the cd key changer for the other part of this. i have seen the file but dont know where it ended up!

please can i be reminded again?

By default, Neverwinter Nights 2 ships with a generic serial that is not compatible with multiplayer. After a fresh installation:

1. Find the three serials (they are available in your library via browser, see image below)
2. Run Multiplayer Key Changer and paste your three serials.

You should now be good to go (I just tested it successfully and contrary to what the thread above says, there was not a second nwn2cdkey.ini file, just the one in the game's installation folder).
