This is a surprice, but I check the price too and here in my country the game cost 400% more on GOG than on Steam, is way too expensive, please fix this issue!!! Maybe is something related to regional prices you should check it!!!

And it's the same for me on Steam and GOG, but higher on Epic Games (+21%). Regional pricing applies.
Guess I'm lucky since GOG was the only option I considered.

No pre-orders, not ever unless it's a System Shock game. Oh, Shodan, you've consumed my mind already. Only 186 days and I am all yours once again. The only downside is that System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition is nowhere to be found, it could be released any day, even after the Remake release date.

Lone_Scout: Not preordering. I'll wait for R&R (Release and Reviews)... and maybe a later discount.

The fact that they used Unity for making the game makes me a bit skeptical about its performance/optimization...
They had Unity circa 2016 but changed to Unreal.

ChrisGamer300: Looking forward to it ? yes but pre order ? no thx. I hope it turns out well.

Edit: When is this even coming out, it says today on the store page but there is almost no recent info on this game.
Well, in this case, the preorder offers two games for the price of one... Not bad for system shock diehards... Still, it is a preorder...

bluethief: This game has different prices on my region on all 3 stores:

GOG: 44,89 €
Steam: 37,99 €
EGS: 35,99 €

Usually, games here have the same price across all stores.
oh finally egs is cheaper as it should be

paladin181: Hefty price tag for a remake of a 25 year old game....
To give Caesar which is Caesar's, it is not just a graphics overhaul. They claim to have redone the mechanics, weapons, AI... The story for the two games is good. I loved the setting in the spaceship for the sequel, personally. So... Doom and Elite are even older and the sequels got steep prices as well...

Reglisse: I got the Alpha Demo for Linux here...no more Linux for the final release?
Just asking ^^
On Kickstarter Nightdive promises a Linux release. It was the first stretch goal. Although there is no saying when the Linux release will come.

Lone_Scout: It shows at 37,99 € for me... Cross the border! :)
Four hours ago it was showing 44,89 € to me, but not it s down to 37,99 €.

If the price keeps plummeting like this, soon GOG will be paying ME to play the game!

It is using Unreal 4.
The performance is good. Check out the demo and see for your self :)

Looking forward to play this sooo much! <3

Re-recorded iconic lines by Terri Brosius are eargasm to my ears.

Really hope the game will sell well, Night Dive deserves it,
after getting back on track and getting the game to the finish line.

Well done!
Is this remake or just repixelling?
Oh shat, preorder of a 'reboot'... I'd better buy another 3 copies of original System Shock (if it be possible on GOG) than this stereotyped acid-looking modern dreck that lost all the visual schick of good old Shock.

Lord, will Thou ever intend to stop this endless excruciation of seeing them parasiting on old classics?

Played a bit of the (new) Demo, and I really like it, except for two things:

I like the original voice recording better. Not only Shodan - where it's the exact lines and the same voice actress, but IMO it sounded more... demented, and dangerous in the original - but also the crew logs.

"Gunther is dead. I can't let myself think about it..." That was delivered with so much despair, it still gives me goosebumps.
And the music - that iconic music in each level... the new one sounds generic, moody, not bad, but...

On the other hand the old music probably wouldn't have been very fitting the new, darker look.

I guess unless they mess this up completely, it'll be a must-have for me.
