i seem to be having a problem with my pathfinder kingmaker, i thought i fixed the problem last week(I think September 5th or 6th, but it started happening again...

my game worked fine until today, not sure what changed, other that the above date(s) i meantioned

The game seems to get stuck on the loading screen with the full yellow status bar, and doesn't seem to be loading

i have installed and uninstalled in on september 5th or 6th, and i seemed to fix it then; but today it's now giving me the same problem (I do live streaming of my games; and i don't want to have to start over again if i can help it)

I don't know what else to do, i hope someone can help me figure this out
try deleting registry keys, search steam forums.

BeatriceElysia: try deleting registry keys, search steam forums.
how do i do that, i'm not familiar with that, i'm not very technically adept
try this:
https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-add-change-delete-registry-keys-values-2625145
do not bother with backing up things, just skip to deleting, I hope this isn't bad advice.

delete by searching this

(\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Owlcat Games)

That's horrible advice. NEVER mess with the registry without backing it up, unless you're OK with the possibility of having to reinstall the OS.

Windows rolled out another major update a few days ago, which has once again borked my Steam games, so that might be the problem. None of my GOG games seem to be affected, though.

Quite agree with richlind33, regediting is a good way to mess things up and really shouldn’t help anyways.
You need to provide some context. Your playing on windows 10? If so then there was an update around that time, and as you will be aware M$ updates are done so as to break any non-M$ products.
Are you using galaxy? Have you tried installing using the installers - called backup installers.
Have you made sure not to install to any windows folders? Never install anything to program files or those type folders as that is almost guaranteed to break things.
Also try removing not just the install but any other files, things in documents, temp areas (go to an explorer view and put in %appdata%j as some games put saves and setup files in those areas. I would cut these out and then try a fresh run, it could be some setup file problem or save game corruption that is preventing loading.
Also there was a linked page to owlcat games that shows how to add logging:
https://owlcatgames.com/content/bug-report-technical
Perhaps try that and see what the log states.

Me I would hedge my bets on windows updates.
i've tried uninstalling, and reinstalling then tried the other way to do that,

it seem sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

i let the install decide where it goes i don't know anything that technical so i just do the default install

i'm just now trying the repair verify option one more time, and then i'll look on owlcat games website and see if anyone else has had my problem

I use GoG for pathfinder/kingmaker, and may end up be where i get my games from now on
that didn't fix it, i don't know what else to do other than seeing if anyone else it having this issue on owlcat games, i'll go check there in a bit i just have to go pick up some pop, then i'll go check it out
I run it on windows 10 64 bit pro through my GoG account, (my windows auto updates)

I did find someone on the website who has the same problem as it works fine for a week or two and then it gets stuck on the loading screen (the yellow bar on the middle bottom of the screen),

The only thing that i can do to exit the opration by restarting my computer (hitting the windows key and selecting restart, no other way to get out of the game other than that (i can't even go to another game with it up (i figure that normal for running games)

I don't know what else to do about this, it's very frustrating :(

“Though my gog account”?? I assume you mean you have galaxy client app installed and use that to install your game?
Personally I avoid launchers. Download the backup offline installers. Remove the game from your machine (and galaxy). Check it has fully removed. Then once the backup installers have all downloaded to one folder run the exe. Under options you can select where to install it too. Never install anything to windows folders such program files. Create a folder maybe called c:/my games and install there, will stop half of the problems.
Next up, what did the log say? Did you follow the guidance? What is your system, you will likely need to give details about graphics and such like when contacting support.
Also, are you running anything else behind the scenes? Do you have antivirus installed? Has your system been checked by that to assure no virus found?
i purchased it on gog, so i install it on the launcher, i don't have a physical disc or anything just digital download, and no i don't have anything else running, and i've already allowed gog launcher and website both gog.com and owlcatgames.com
i uninstalled and reinstalled the gog galaxy and at least for now the game is running well again, i'll have to see if this happens again i don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall regularly, i'll be able to see either in a few days, or maybe in a week or two
no other game of mine does this so i don't know of any other solutions,

sorry if the message sent yesterday seem to be argumentative, i was just having some frustrations yesterday, and sometimes i don't respond the way i should, (not always rational in my thinking)
