Hi.
I own the game X-COM 2 on my Steam account. Now the extension "War of the Chosen" is on bargain at GOG - just for 3.99 € (in opposition to 39 (sic!) bucks at Steam).
Is there a way to play the extension from GOG within the game at my Steam account?
Regards
Tom

Hello.

In order to buy War of the Chosen on GOG, you need to own XCOM 2 on GOG.
Yeah it's annoying when buying the base game on one platform means you're locked into that platform for expansions.

But usually when something is on sale on one platform it is on sale on another too - just that the sales don't always line up perfectly. Steam's Winter Sale hasn't started yet, so maybe wait for that to start in 4 days time?
The base game is 2,49€ (95% off) at the momebt, you could buy it on gog.
Or as mentioned wait for the Steam sale, XCom 2 and the DLC will most likely go on sale as well.

Games and DLC bought at different stores are rarely interchangeable. That is the nature of the beast, and even more so where DRM plays a role.

Agreed. Maybe it gets that cheap on Steam too, or the deep discount is compensation for no multiplayer, but that's a great discount. (And fairly common I think.) Though it might be more appropriate to drop the base price after all these years too.

I Believe they shutdown multiplayer in the steam version too..
