P. Zimerickus: well, at least it is a variation and not a downright copy out of your book of 7 ways to respond ..

Breja: Uhm... ok? I'm sorry I even tried to understand what you're talking about, I promise it won't happen again.

There, I guess we stumbed upon my new year's "obligation" :D
I'm just happy you can share your 'quotes' :)

MyTropico: Get rid of the overweight of the overweight of the overweight! You get the idea, it's all about tackling that extra baggage. Achieving that single resolution would be absolutely awesome
I agree with this one espeically. But how do we accomplish it? Maybe we should be getting a bunch of forklifts to move all the fatties to some dessert island? One can dream!
if anyone actually wants to do this, the best advice is to MODERATE.
1. DO OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY
2. PATIENCE YOUNG PADAWAN
3. USE THE FORCE

GilesHabibula: I'm not much on New Year's resolutions, but I keep telling myself I'm going to start writing my novel soon.

I did actually complete two of them when I was in my late teens and early twenties, but trying to read them now... They're pretty bad. :-)
Try taking the same approach I'm trying to take. Each day, try to find some time to do something regarding your novel, even if it's just writing a paragraph, proofreading, or outlining something you have yet to write.
Maybe I won't make restrictions, therefore: I'll buy some new tech this year :D

ppavee: (....)
Please buy some tech this year, stores need space : )

And I will not make any obligations, just do things on the wave of the flow, spontaneously! ^°
Other things to do this year:
* Buy a new laptop (preferably soon)
* Maybe join a social media site, provided that site has reasonable moderation and moderation policies (in particular, hate speech should not be explicitly allowed)
hear are my late new year's resolutions, things on my little bucket list this year.

-Finish Les Miserables

-Attempt To partially get into shape

-Finish a writing project

-Attempt to fix my slightly broken computer

Lol.... i hope you have a nice money buffer if you want to do it like this ;)
My only New Year's resolution is not to have any New Year's resolutions and so far it's working f– oh for fuck's sake...!
I will get serious about finishing Daggerfall this year. I have some good progress on a save, but I think I got heavily sidetracked with lots of sidequests and dungeon exploring last time. Also I will try to drink more water I guess. And I am three weeks free of nicotine.

From your post I inferred the issue you implied ;)

Legally, what is hate speech in the US?

No such thing. Free speech is free speech under the Constitution For the United States of America (notice I didn't say "of") regardless what entrenched communists want to define.

Aren't 1 and 2 mutually exclusive?

There is no such things as hate speech, only the speech that peoples hate to see. Words can not physically hurting peoples, they only affect the ones with bad mental conditions. In such cases would be better treating such conditions instead of hiding speech.
