Quick Q:

I created a new topic in the General Forum, but when I look at the forum, page 1, it's not there.
It's listed in my 'Topics you've participated in' area of the Community main page, and its tree includes: Community>General discussion>Topic (so it does exist in the right area).
Is this normal? Anyone know why?

I'm not new to the forum and have made topics and posts many times before.

Thanks :)

Edit: THIS topis IS showing up for me.
My last topic was a simple critique of the new 'shelf' - I wonder if a keyword blocked it (can't think what though).
Edit 2: THAT edit caused THIS topic to disappear for me (but my original topic showed up) - weirdness with my browser perhaps (Brave)?
Edit 3: All normal now. Must have been gremlins

Don't worry, the forums are held together with spite and tape.

Noticed this quite some time ago.
It takes 11 minutes for every (?) new thread to unlock.

My personal guess: it's an anti-spam measure, installed, to give the staff time, to filter out/delete spam threads, before they get visible to the public.

Think of it as the equivalent of the "bleep"-button in "live" TV.

Maybe - the odd thing was that this thread (the second one I created) showed up straight away...then disappeared after I edited it. The other one showed up around the time-frame you're talking about.
All good anyway.
