The blue stone is lapis lazuli and is used for blue dyes and pure blue blocks. Not very exciting then. But still more block types are always welcome.

All the colors are silly while getting used to the new survival, but they'll be awesome later when we're going 'Gee, I wonder if I can make a hundred foot replica of a lego figure'.

I used to play with INVedit to build whatever in the beta, but now I'm worried I won't be able to, since one of the changelogs mentioned something about punishing cheaters.

Hey, this is how my minecraft looks when it loads a level. Had in in SMP a few times, when we had a lag [the server guy was leeching something]. Then i noticed how the game spawns You, first, it puts You on the x,y [n.e.w.s.] and after that sends You to the proper altitude.. I've been hit 3 times by a zombie, suffocated a bit in the ground, and finally arrived in the mines, having 2 hearts of health. Through the whole thing [about 10 seconds] i've seen the world just like on Your screen. Though it was nighttime, and i could see our tunnels with light and all. Best loading ever.
There's a similar one, where a big chunk is missing, and You can see tunnels in the walls, like an ant farm thingie.

Hope this xray vision is not persistent.

I see i'm not the only one, who has a "weird" world. Notice the lava above the health bar. My map is full of holes, looks like cheese. And the mines are even more, er, hole'y.

I think Notch may have made Minecraft very, very ill trying to restore the floating map variants to the random generator.

That's what's happening here. As you can see it's not a loading screen as I have an inventory.

Also around the same area were patches of ground that stayed illuminated at night time for no obvious reason (other than bugs).

Yeah I think I might stick to beta 1.1_02 for now, I'll pass on a new mob, dyes and cake until the mods and texture pack I use are updated.

Hahaha, yeah, I had a shock when I saw that spiders can now climb walls (except sandstone though).

We also have a Minecraft server (well, as soon as Emualynk patches and restarts it), you can find it at mine.fuzz.me.uk (when it's running :D )

I want to use the dispenser and put up a sign with "Push button. Receive Bacon" and have it launch an arrow in the face of the person who uses it. Or even better, if you put multiple types of items in a launcher it randomizes which one it throws. So push button and either receive delicious bacon or an arrow to the gut.
