Also, sorry about not being able to chat but I had to turn it off as I was getting too many chats with requests for me to gift them games. Also it doesn't help that I'm generally an asshole and would at times get rather abusive chats in response to one of my posts on the forum. So between the too I just totally disabled chat and change it when I need to give away a code and then change it back after.

Maybe I should put something informing folks of no chat where it currently states (old fat user).

You don't owe it to anyone to explain yourself like that. I worked out that you must have it set to friends only and I'm sure anyone else could too. :P
