I kept wanting to know, so I used MaGOG (which does in fact mean "more about good old games") and learned that a mere $10661.83 will buy all games past and present.

I wonder if GOG sold a $6,000 "buy everything" package if anyone would buy it.

mrkgnao: Actually, it's not too bad. MaGog already has a mechanism for rebundling unbundled games back into one entry[..]
Expect some mayhem in the upcoming weeks, but no explosion.
Hihi cool then ;P

Mere 10K? :O
Anyway, that would be quite a fast pay-to-win all Insomnias :\

I might buy it if it included "Dark Matter" (and if I had a separate bank account from my wife).

Now that I saw the list unbundled games planned, I tend to believe that you were closer to the truth ("explosion") than I (mere "mayhem").

GOG's inane decision NOT to give unbundled game names that would result in them occupying consecutive positions when sorted by title (which was the case for unbundled games so far: e.g. Cognition, Dracula 4+5, X-Wing, TIE Fighter) will definitely break my current code.

I guess I will need to disable MaGog's harvesting of downloadable file info when the unbundling begins and redesign my code. And it's not going to be easy because I still suffer from GOG's undocumented limitation on the number of accesses one can make at a time (which if exceeded blocks one's IP for 12-18 hours).

Magog, nooooo!

In theory I prefer single instances for different games, but only if they're organized well !
Also, seasons\episodes and gold-goty packs should be left bundled.

I hope that GOG will fix those messy names asap..

mrkgnao: ANNOUNCEMENT:
Version 4.2.4 has been released with the following features
This new announcement lead to a little reflection:

After you added the features to "upload" the libraries and wishlists I naively thought there was not much else to do to MaGog since it already did as much as could be asked from a search engine.

I was wrong, of course, since you had more vision and choose to add regional tracking and files tracking and these features have proved enormously helpful in getting more reliable information than what GOG provides.

A huge thank you. Your abilities and perseverance are to be admired.

Many +1 from me as I see you're close to a well deserved fourth star.

Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot.
And also thank you for the many avenues through which you yourself contribute to this community.
Were it not for the GOG community, I probably would have left GOG by now.

I also want to thank you again for providing the best way to interact with GOG. If you had download links to the GOG files in MaGog I wouldn't even need to use the horrible library (or see unbundled games).

PS: This is not a real suggestion although I think it's technically possible. Not sure if it is "legal" to do though. (from GOG's viewpoint) AFAIK clicking the links results in a check from GOG if your account is allowed to download the file.

Thank you too for the kind words.

As for your imaginary suggestion. I never thought of it, but thinking about it now, it seems like a great idea. I can't see a "legal" issue with it because indeed clicking on the link when you do not own the game (or are logged out) will merely result in a "403 Forbidden". Onto the todo list it goes. Can't promise when it'll be implemented, certainly not while the unbundling is in progress.

P.S. Needless to say, links will be available only for games I own.

Just FYI, GOG changed the games IDs for all three Pillars of Eternity games upon release (probably something to do with the pre-order exclusives). As usual, MaGog will display each game twice until I fix it manually tonight (I have no plans to automate this).
I'm a bit late in saying this, but thank you mrkgnao for creating MaGOG. Have some well-deserved +1. :)

SOB, this has pre-order exclusives? I thought they were bonuses (available to purchase afterwards)? I guess that text was edited later on.
