This could be it, not sure, if not check the rest of the page, maybe try the sidewalk and road mod?
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Mafia#Red_Blocks.2FBlack_Lines_On_Screen
I tried that now and doesn´t help me :( and that mod only enhancing textures of roads and footsteps but doesn´t doing anything to shadows.
I solved that :D I download 3D Analyzer select a .exe of Mafia set the VendorID and DeviceID by ATI Radeon 8500 and check Mafia shadow fix now it´s working without problem :)
Thank you for help anyways :)
EDIT: On that ATI Radeon 8500 the game still have little problem with flickering blood and shadows I change it now to the VendorID and DeviceID by NVIDIA Geforce FX5900 and now it´s 100% without problems blood isn´t flickering at all and shadows isn´t flickering at all as well. :)

Does anyone know if the game Mafia is available to buy anywhere?
I'm trying to get it but I can't seem to find it any place selling it.... Not even steam....

It used to be sold on Steam, but then it was removed from sale. Your only option is hunting down a second-hand copy.

Yeah, the original Mafia seem to have disappeared from Steam and other DD sites, sadly - I'm sure that it WAS on there previously, must be some legal issue, hopefully GOG and / or Night Dive will be able to sort something out at some point.
Same with both 'The Godfather' games - they've disappeared from sale too, although that's more understandable with film licensing expiring and that...

*edit* Ninja'd by a smug ninja cat!

I doubt Night Dive could really help. The game was both developed and published by Take-Two. I suspect it was taken down because of possible license issues (songs?) and Take-Two didn't want to bother releasing a new version.

Too bad for them. I wanted to buy a legal copy of the game. Now I don't have an option......
Thanks for the answer.

Nope. First Mafia was developed by Illusion Softworks and published by Gathering of Developers.

Current name of Illusion Softworks; 2K Czech. Parent Company of Gathering of Developers; Take-Two Interactive. Distributor of Mafia; Take-Two Interactive. Conclusion; not directly developed and published by Take-Two Interactive, but very close enough.

Conclusion - Take-Two holds the rights for this game, but back then, it was only a distributor. :p

A distributor that owned the publisher and the developer, though.
