There are only 18 Hidden Object games in the store, so maybe it's worth browsing through them all to see what looks good to you.

foxgog: Hello Ice_Mage!

Do you use some kind of customized script?
I am just asking, because both your link, as well as the search terms "Hidden Object" lead to "No results found" on my end. Or maybe, it is a malfunction of GOG.com's new catalogue search system.

Kind regards,
foxgog
If you go to the page of any single game there should be a link to the sub-genre, even if you cannot tick such a box in the search criteria.

Clicking that link will collect the HOGs for you: https://www.gog.com/games?genres=hidden-object

Thank you instaboy!

I did not know about that access to a link for subgenres such as HOGs.

Kind regards,

Only certain users were switched over to the new catalog design, which apparently doesn't work with the old style links like the one I posted. In contrast, the link at post 16 doesn't work for me.

Vader67: I recently got hooked on these dam hidden object games, i have played Family Mysteries 2 and 3, Hope Lake, The Titanic and Fall Of A new Age Collectors Edition. I really liked those type of games and the quality they where done as far as clarity and graphics. Any suggestions any other games comparable to those?
Maybe you should take a look at the True Fear-series:
https://www.gog.com/game/true_fear_forsaken_souls
https://www.gog.com/game/true_fear_forsaken_souls_part_2

There is a final part 3 coming, but it's still under development.
Looking For Aliens which was only released here on GoG about a month ago, and seems to have initially positive reviews...

These are all the ones i have played

Played-Fall Of The New Age
Played-Family Mysteries 3 Criminal Mindset
Played-Hope Lake
Played-Inspector-Magnusson-Murder-on-the-Titanic.exe
Played-Letters from Nowhere 2
Played-Family Mysteries 2
One place to rule them all : https://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/genres/15/hidden-object.html
I really enjoy the HOG's for the puzzles. There are so many but the ones by the company Artifex Mundi are good. If or when you are looking for something a little different there is the game Adam Wolfe and also My Brother Rabbit that are a nice change of pace. I recently got into playing The House of Da Vinci series (available on GOG) and The Room series (on steam) and love them.

Enjoy the journey of discovering what is out there.

Not sure if this is your cup of tea, but I enjoy playing "Seekers Notes" from MyTona
The only ones I've played in recent memory are the Hero of the Kingdom games, they're a bit of a mix of classic adventure and hidden object and every single game can be beaten in 4 to 8 hours depending on the game.

Hi, in case you are not aware of them:

Big Fish games is a very large publisher/storefront especially for hidden object games and casual games. They used to have occasional free codes for games, but no longer seem to do so. However, these codes might still work: BIGFISHCASINO (Puppetshow Mystery of Joyville, Puppetshow Return to Joyville, Phantasmat), MOBFREERAVEN (Mystery Case Files Ravenhearst), MOBFREEAWAKENING (Awakening: The Dreamless Castle). The codes are used at checkout after selecting the corresponding games into the cart - if they work, the price should change to zero. Also, be sure to deselect their "Big Fish games club" option unless you really want it, it is a subscription service.

Big Fish has an absolutely enormous library of hidden object games, and there are reviews on-site for each. There is an old GOG forum thread listing interesting games on the Big Fish store. Among others, it includes a list of hidden object games with more unusual themes, such as steampunk or lovecraftian settings.

Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos
Interpol 2: Most Wanted

Neither are on GOG, though.

Thought item finders like to find games too , searching through the stores finding a few gems , it is like playing the game :P
Nice thread title! Very meta!
A good source for legally free HOGs/HOPAs (and other casual games) is GameTop (gametop.com). I found out about it when looking up the game The Silent Age that someone had mentioned in a thread here a few years back.

The thing you need to be aware of is to make your own shortcut from the actual game executable and not use the one(s) the installation creates, as those tend to open the web site when exiting the game which can be very annoying.
