I am looking for games that meet the following criteria:
* The majority of game world must be procedurally-generated each time.
* The game must be strictly turn-based; no real-time elements at all.
* The game must let you freely save and reload anywhere; in other words, no permadeath, and the game should not be designed around permadeath, either.
* The random generation should be chaotic; in other words, I prefer for the random generation to be highly random and chaotic, even if it comes at the expense of things like game balance. In other words, it's OK, and perhaps even desirable, for it to be possible for early game enemies to kill beginning characters in one hit, or for a game-changing endgame-level piece of equipment or spell to appear early. It is OK if some seeds would require digging out of a hole in order to progress past the early game (or re-rolling a different seed).
The closest I've seen to this would be the Dragon Warrior randomizer (though you can only save in one spot there, but at least you "only" lose half your gold when you die).
