Hello everyone, hope you’re doing fine :)

As you’ve most likely heard by now, on August 31st, 2024, 3 days from now, we’ll begin to delete Cloud Saves files that exceed the default allocation limit (200 MB per game). If you haven’t already, please review your saves (https://www.gog.com/account/cloud-saves) to avoid the loss of files stored within your Cloud Saves available via GOG GALAXY. This action is irreversible. Saves stored locally on your computer(s) will not be affected.

Please ditch Galaxy, you are not STEAM.
Some games have save files over 100MiB ==> A single save can be saved.

Long live the tiny, sturdy (do not carry around the flimsy models) USB memory stick!
What happens going forward if you have a game where your saves get to or surpass 200MB? Does the cloud save system automatically start getting rid of the oldest saves first to keep everything under 200MB?

This is from their support page - "After August 31st, 2024, we will begin deleting files from our Cloud Storage service. First and foremost we will delete unnecessary files – things that are not at all related to your game, but have found their way into the Cloud Save folder. Next, we will remove save game files, starting from the oldest and stop when the remaining files fit the allocation limit."
Time to boot up GameSave-Manager, again, I guess.
WTF GOG. Still doesnt syncronize games with more than 200mb locally.
Am i supposed to delete locally, just so cloud works? Stupid...

No email received. (I check spam folders regularly.)

Just happened to visit the forum today, and this is the first information seen regarding this change.

Very disappointing.
I've got 10 megabytes (or so) of total data, and you'll pry that data I can't even access from my cold remorseless hands!
Hi, just droped by to say if this low cloud space continue, sadly ill never again buy games on GOG, its just too much hassle. I supported you buying witcher games as well as CP, but I guess this will be it.
Is there a way for me to download my cloud saves from the site? I don't have access to a Windows machine.

That does not allow you to download your game saves, only manage them, unfortunately. :(

There are a few third party tools on github that allow you to download your game saves.
Heroic launcher also lets you get a copy of saves from installed games (has to be windows install using wine/proton though).
If you haven't played any games on a windows computer, check the cloud-saves page, as you might not have any game saves uploaded.

Getting annoyed over the last days while playing Cyperpunk. I keep getting warnings about cloud space being exceeded.

* I have had cloud saves disabled globally for months now. NONE of my games should even try cloud saving. Why is this even an issue? Just delete all my cloud saves and be done with it, I have no need for any of this.

* I have checked via the gog cloud save management page that none of my games (including CP) are exceeding the 200 MB. CP in particular is sitting at 120 MB. Why am I still getting bombarded every freaking single time I launch the game with a modal window asking me to delete files?

GOG, please fix this.
