Alright so bare with me on this one. I want to know something about a most excellent soon to be excellent rpg soon to be released.

http://heroicfantasygames.com/FWE/Pages/FWE_Subraces.htm

That link shows all of the races in the game which is astronomical!

Now just think what if....

WHAT IF you could breed characters in the party and they have a child that looks like MORGAN FREEMAN?

I was thinking if you breed a Stygian Human with a Half Salamander (Flame Brother) they could have a child that is more powerful than both of them.

The Human has Freeman's Shawshank redemption height and the Halfsalamander has his occasional trash talking ability. So he can use his charisma against them. It will be just like Wanted all over again. GET THIS MUTHAFUCKA AND FORGET THE CODE RIGHT NOW~!!

Thank you for the offer, but I'm not into nudism.

I don't know about KotC2, but the demo of the first game was a bit too difficult for me to get into it. I think the game should have had a difficulty setting that would allow you to make the AI less intelligent. (I actually think that would be a good way to do a difficulty setting; it means you need to use fancier tactics on harder difficulties without simply giving the enemies higher stats.)

Well yeah it is tough. It is really based off of Pool of Radiance where the game is more tactical rpg rather than an rpg. At least you can grind which is something you cant do in most tacticalrpgs.

You can't exactly grind at the start of the demo. There's no rest spot at the start, and the early encounters are not that easy. (I also feel that, with the developers spending so much effort on the AI, there is a missed opportunity to do difficulty settings in an interesting way. One way this could be done is to have the AI look at the best n (n dependant on difficulty) courses of action and choose randomly between them, rather than always choosing the best one.)

That brings up an interesting question: Is the AI deterministic?

Well he made the AI choose the best one most of the time with a minor thing being it 'sometimes' would do something different. It made the game really difficult. The thing is I grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons games so I dont really care about difficulty. The only games I havent beaten yet were the gold box games. I got halfway through pool of radiance and that game and the rest are 5 times harder than this game.

The gold box games are very tough and that is where this guy gets his inspiration from.
However I will agree with you in that if this guy made 1 more mode of casual/easy and toned down a bit, he would get more fans rather than just disgruntled d&d fans like myself and licurg.
