PCEM actually emulates old PC hardware such as motherboards, hdds, and soundcards and cpu's. It's a better virtual machine than the MS VM that most people think of. Since my old WIn98 Voodoo3 pc now has busted and leaky capacitors, and I don't feel like spending a load to buy another just for nostalgia, I thought I'd give PCEM a try.
The funny thing is,.. at this point most of the 90's pc games I want to play have been re-released, or community patched, or are on GOG. With the exception of games like Mechwarrior 3, Black & White, and some weird old abandonware or edutainment titles, I can't think of many games to try and run on the 90's PC, emulated or not.
