Out of the newer offerings of these games, which did you enjoy more and why? How similar are they?

You won't find a better Jagged Alliance game than the second installment. It's an old game though, so it's hard to compare it to the new Wasteland games. Wasteland 2 and 3 have better and more extensive dialogues. You have more control over your character development. Finally they're a fully 3D games. While JA2 is more of a tactical title, Wasteland 2 and 3 are a full-scale RPGs. It really depends what do you prefer. Also keep in mind that every JA game released after JA2 was quite bad.

I've never played Jagged Alliance but I love inXile's development style (Brian Fargo is a genius, IMO) so definitely Wasteland.

How is that possible? Wasteland was published in 1988, Fallout in 1997.

Jagged Alliance and Wasteland are very different kinds of games.

Jagged Alliance is like XCOM but with character development more akin to RPGs and actual exploration. There's a fixed map and each scenario is a section of the map. The only game in the series everyone should play is JA2.

New Wasteland games are proper top down open world RPGs with turn-based tactical combat, far more similar to Fallout 1 and 2 than XCOM.

What I can say is if you want a good recent game get W3, but if you want one of the all time best play JA2.

Wasteland came before Fallout and so if anything Fallout is the copy not the otherway around its kinda even been confirmed as a thing by the devs of Fallout 1 and 2 aswell

Lol trust me, I am not very good at trolling. I may be sarcastic at times but I don't troll.

I've managed online communities for about a decade and a half now and while everyone loves a bit of trolling if it's in the right place and done just for humor's sake. My issue is that a lot of the time, trolling is poorly placed and done just to get people upset. That's the kind of trolling that doesn't belong anywhere.
