NuffCatnip: Since I already use Origin (Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc.) this is a great addition for my library. Thanks for bringing this up. ;)

How's the overall experience with it? Thanks!
Hm, there are almost no features, you have a storefront to buy games and another tab that is your library and that is pretty much it. xD
But if youre using Origin mainly for playing games and dont mind not having a forum then its okay Id say. ^^
Its the only way to play the newest EA titles and Bioware is one of my favourite developer, so missing out on their games because of Origin is out of the question for me. ^^

rtcvb32: It and Knight of the old Republic both felt too similar with the UI and game engine and graphics style...
I for one wish KotOR was more like Jade Empire, at least the combat would have been a litttle more exciting then. ;)

I know it's a widely acclaimed classic, but having played through Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Neverwinter Nights already, I have a bit of trouble motivating me to play throufh KotOR, as someone who's not that much of a Star Wars fan. The areas feel a bit bland and the combat boring, at least in the beginning. :(

(But I guess good beginnings were never Bioware's forte; although I actually enjoyed the one in Jade Empire, despite all.)

Leroux: ...
Well, Kotor's combat wasn't bad, but it was very much a safe D20 D&D system. In fact the entire Kotor was basically D&D with starwars theme. In some ways I thought it was utterly annoying. Jade Empire was more unique but got to play with more martial arts types, some real and some made up :P

Also Kotor gave you 2 opening areas (the ship/tutorial and the first planet) that are actually really boring and not that much to do with lots of running between areas.

Yeah, KotOR has not aged gracefully. I tried to replay it a few years ago, and droped it pretty quick. Empty and static city areas, meh combat, bland quests... As I remember, the game gets better and the story gets pretty awesome after you leave the first planet, but boy is it boring to get there.

A location based storefront that insist on displaying in your local language even when the client is in another.
resist it, people.
my "I don't give a crap about drmed clients" attitude is back also :) and this is free too!

I meditate on it, and with Ohm's law have resisted it.

I have it here on GOG but I grabbed it anyway, just for the hope that if enough downloads are done it shows that the IP is still popular and they make a sequel..... ya it's a long shot but if it helps get a sequel.
