UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called <span class="bold">GOG Connect</span>. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, <span class="bold">GOG Connect</span> gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While <span class="bold">GOG Connect</span> will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
Well I'm connected (with this GOG steam api thing) not so well in the real world.

Getting the "OOPS, SOMETHING WENT WRONG." so I guess the api might have hit a limit for queries with steam. I'm not too worried I think any game I would connect this time around I already own on GOG.

Truth is for games I kickstart back and get on steam I usually grab a GOG copy on special later anyway as an extra way of supporting developers. I'm now erring towards GOG unless I really, really want a game that is only on steam and I don't expect it on GOG any time soon. Or I have got the game as part of a bundle in which case it probably didn't cost me that much on average anyway.

So I'm not too worried as it stands and I'm happy to shell a few bucks over so GOG get their cut for all that packaging work anyway.

Still might nice to perhaps have a treat once and a while If a game pops up that I don't yet own on GOG.
nice one GOG, pity ive already bought almost every game on GOG, some are double ups (bought on steam first) still some wishlist games hopefully appear in the special offers and i can use some old steam keys to get gog versions of the game..

btw GOG cant link my account atm, saying oops houston we have a problem :)
Keep having issues tyring to get it to work. Keeps giving me an error code, but doesn't display the error code.
I appreciate GOG's choice to offer this option. While I far prefer GOG over Steam, I have occasionally bought games on Steam that were unavailable elsewhere at the time. So GOG Connect effectively adds value to my previous purchases, allowing me to access games into which I have invested time and money in a more convenient format (GOG downloaders, etc.).

This further solidifies my appreciation of GOG, and the service they provide. At this rate, they will remain my primary and preferred purveyor of games for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your efforts, and please continue to champion a less oppressive future.
Funny thing, I left Steam YEARS ago, so I've nothing left that I need to transfer from this list... Hell, I probably won't for a VERY long time. I have VERY few games on that old account that I haven't since bought elsewhere.

Marioface5: In regards to this part:

"If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library."

I have a few questions/concerns. First of all, does this only apply to games added to a GOG library through GOG Connect, or can games you've bought from both stores be affected?

I can understand why refunds would be a concern (otherwise you could buy any eligible game on Steam, get the GOG version free, and then refund the unplayed Steam version) but why does manual deletion matter? If someone decides they don't want the game in their Steam library and deletes it, why should that affect their GOG library?

Is there a time limit for when a game can be removed from the GOG library due to something with the Steam one? It sounds like a year could pass and then GOG might suddenly remove a game from your collection if something happened to your Steam version.

How does GOG even keep track of what's going on with the Steam account and its collection? Will GOG be constantly monitoring linked Steam accounts to make sure we still own games on there that have been redeemed with GOG Connect?

To use GOG Connect, you have to "make sure your Steam Privacy Settings & Profile Status are set to public". What happens if you set them to private after redeeming games through GOG Connect? Will they be removed because GOG can no longer verify that you still own them on Steam, or what?

I honestly regret linking my GOG and Steam accounts, but unfortunately it's permanent (for some reason) so I guess it's too late to change my mind about it now.
I believe you and others are getting that part of the agreement wrong. For example, what they mean by the game not being in your library is literally if it isn't in your game list. As long as the game is on your game list (which all games you currently have are on it unless taken by Steam or refunded by you), they are always eligible for use with GOG Connect. You can't hide individual games on your Steam account? You would have to refund them to do that. They also specifically state that they CAN and NOT will, remove any games from your GOG Library if they are no longer on your attached Steam account. As for the privacy thing, it shouldn't really matter if you put it on private later, unless they go to check your Steam account at random after giving you the GOG version. Most companies will never actually make sure, unless there is an incident of some kind, that you are still eligible, and they can't really realisticly keep track of that many accounts, either. It will also NOT affect any games that are shared on Steam and GOG, since they already have your GOG Order Reciept on file in your account.
Thanks to gog and the publishers for this nice addition, I bough most game that i had on steam on gog, but there are many more i could add.
Unfortunately I use 2 steam account (one for online games and on for solo games), but that's my problem i guess, i will have to choose.

Looking forward to be able to use gog connect cause that does not work for me yet, but that is great.
Thanks for this!

Just that is not working for me, I get error messages all time :(
you would think the witcher games (including #3) would be the first to be included. hmmmm.

speaking of which, how will censorship be handled? many steam users have uncut witcher games obtained via gifting which steam/valve allows. will someone who has an uncut witcher (or any other censored game) on steam, get a cut or uncut gog version? (assuming they don't already own said game on gog)

thank you gog! :)

now I don't have to buy braid a second time. Very honorable of you guys.
I'm pretty sure, steam won't do the same for games we bought here, though. So 1 : 0 for gog yet again :D

It's the gog version.

Also I checked again and get an error, and the games haven't been added to my library. Will I miss my chance if the 5 days pass?
It doesn't affect me personally because I don't use Steam at all but it seems pretty nice nonetheless :) Good job!

From what I understood you simply get the GOG version with all the ups(goodies) and downs(less updates? no DRM?)
While I have already rebought most available games on GoG there where 3 games I didn't have.

I hope this gives CDPR the opportunity to Data mine their customers Steam accounts and get valuable hard data to show many people are desperate to leave steam and that DRM free GoG is a viable market.

Huge thanks to GoG and the honest publishers/developers for enabling this.

And hope you get things fixed soon.
I am so incredibly proud of you, GOG!!! :D

And you keep making me look so smart in the eyes of all of my Steam friends! ;D
