I've been trying to get the entire stalker series working for 6 hours now, looking at threads, trying everything, I only managed to get Shadow of Chernobyl working, the other two are given the same message:

Installation Failed: Disk Access Problem. I would appreciate all help given.

Not enough info. Galaxy or classic installers? This appears to be a galaxy issue for a lot of games. What system are you using?

Windows 8, With Galaxy, I can't get Classic offline downloader to work either
Are you trying to install to Program Files or some other protected folder?
A quite common Galaxy problem. Fix it by doing this:

Uninstall GOG Galaxy
Clean the folder where Galaxy was installed
Reinstall Galaxy

... Or just use the classic installers instead

What do you mean you can't get offline downloader to work? Simply goto the webpage, to your account. Open the ga e page and select classic installers, download each of the files - one exe and probably some bin files. Once all the files have downloaded - most likely to downloaded folder double click on the exe file to start installation. Ensure you install to an area not controlled by windows, so avoid program files for instance, I use c:/mygames. Then run the game from the shortcut created. Simple, easy, no need for a client, and you can save those installer files to use at a future date.
For me the fix was simple. I copied the game folder from gog directory in Program Files to a new Games directory under C: and started the game by clicking the .exe file inside the folder. The game was Anno 1701.
Let us know which location your installers are installing to. If it's program files, try simply C:\GOG Games\ or somesuch.
The extra protected program files folder sometimes gives grief.

Also ensure you are installing with an admin account too, just to be sure.

The same issue occured to me. Below are the steps to follow to resolve this issue:
1. I am not using the C: drive for installing programs. So first let the whole game download in C:\ProgramFiles(x86) folder.
2. Once the download is complete just cut the GOG Galaxy folder from C:\ProgramFiles(x86) and paste in another drive. (I am using F:)
3. After that launch the GOG Galaxy, click on the game on the left panel.
4. GOG Galaxy will start downloading automatically, so cancel it first.
5. Click on more option on the right of install button.
6. More -> Manage installation -> Import folder.
7. Select the Gwent folder and the game will start working.

In my case, it's Crossroads Inn. I can't get the offline installer to work because they get a "string too long" error and fail too.

Which OS?
I think that string too long only means that the name is too long where ever you downloaded the installers or maybe the subfolders has too many letters where you want to install it.
I usually have games installed in C:\Gog games\Game name
If there are more subfolders for the game and the name keeps getting longer then you get a sttring too long i think.

Make sure you have the exe and the bin files in one directory, all named the same and fully downloaded. Double click the exe and you should see a checkbox for agree to terms and an options button. Click the options and put in a folder like c:/mygames/crossroadsinn
Then install. Should work. I don’t own that one so cannot be sure.
