So I assume most here know about the infamous "Fatal error" glitch LN 2 (Little Nightmares II) has, right? Well I got it when it was on sale last week, played about five hours, and got that error. I tried every solution GOG recommended. I uninstalled, reinstalled in a different location, reinstalled with my firewall off, created an exception in my firewall, so on and so forth. I spent well over an hour. Game is still broken as of right now. Literally unplayable. I went and bought it on steam (the sale now off, so I paid full price) just so I could actually play. They spend four days processing my refund request (I put in the request that the game was broken and I'd tried their solutions and it won't work), and got a response that said "this isn't a review feature we'll give you cash for your GOG wallet at best."

I'll accept DRM and go to steam, the one I've never had a problem with.

I am editing this to include multiple caps of the emails I got, and the 'fatal error' message. I am also including my achievements on GOG for this game (you get an achievement per chapter), to show I did not beat it.

Since you bought the game less than 30 days ago, you should be able to refund it no questions asked and the way you prefer (meaning not necessarily to GOG wallet). I think you should be able to argue with them about that.

However, "fatal error" is just as likely to occur with Steam version. In fact if you google that you'll find it happened.

They already answered me, since the break occurred at five hours and fifty three minutes, they will not refund me. They have a play time limit now and I went past it. Also I am well aware of that. I spent hours trying to deal with this. Fact is I can't get refunded for an unsuable game, and I've never had that happen with steam. I re-bought the game on steam and have beat and replayed it and had no issues. GoG's lost a customer. (And I'd watch out because they were far from honest about the play time limit).

Uh... that's rather alarming. I'd like another GOG rep to confirm that statement please.

I can screencap the whole thing with some of my own details cut out if you like.

Huh, doesn't seem like we have a no-questions-asked unconditional 30 day refund policy, as advertised.

Seems GOG's not all that honest huh

No, no, that's fine. I don't have problem believing that happened. I'd just like somebody else from GOG to confirm if it's not just some kind of... misinterpretation of the policy by the rep you were in contact with.

I'd definitely like to hear from a blue on this. Not to call anyone a liar, but this would seem to be such an egregious case of false advertisment I'm finding it hard to believe.

As I said above, I'll happily send the entire email with some of my own personal info cropped out.

No I don't. What is LN 2? Is it related somehow to GHLEE 323?

I suspect this is unhelpful sarcasm but it's Little Nightmares II. Look up 'fatal error' and you'll certainly get results, it's been a problem since it came out.
I looked at HowLongToBeat website and the game is short, average main + extras is 6 hours. Perhaps that's why the rep brought up play time. Even so, I don't think that excuses departure from the advertised no questions asked refund policy approach if a user can't complete a game.

And I assure you I hadn't beaten it, I had just gotten into the pale city, Six hadn't even been kidnapped yet. I play slowly, I like to look around and tbh I'm not good at puzzle solving and I get sidetracked. I would've gotten the achievements for beating it if I had, but my last achievement is for completing the hospital.

Little Nightmares 2, unless I miss my guess.
