Spelljamer and Pool of Radiance Ruins of Myth Drannor
It hasn't happened yet but GOG mentioned that one thing they're planning this year is to bring a lot more classic games to the site. Time will tell if that happens but at least there's hope.

DemonOfOblivion: Idk if anyone else feels this way
I definitely don't. GOG has too many old games already, and far too few new games.

GOG changed it's name off of being "good old games" many years ago, because trying to sell only obsolete ancient games is an unviable business model.

Yet despite abandoning that bad premise (which is a good thing that they did), GOG often incongruently still tries to promote itself based on that same bad premise.

That's not going to help GOG be profitable though. But if they started to get high profile new games on a regular basis, then that would make GOG become profitable, if anything would.
That is probably GOG's last best hope to achieve financial self-sustainability.

But if they ignore that prospect in order to devolve back into almost exclusively pursuing ancient obsolete games that only a few niche gamers would actually buy, then that's not going to help GOG nor its customers in the long-term, since everyone would be better off if GOG continues to exist in the future.

BreOl72: Gog sells around 3900 games.
Most of them considered "good old games"
You own 69 so far.
And yet you complain about GOG not having enough "good old games" for your liking?
That is quite possible.

For instance, if one happens to like good old Commodore 64 games, what does GOG really have?
That Boulder Dash remake with retro graphics option and maybe some other random game?

I personally think anything on this side of the millennium border is rather new than old, and I also don't count remakes as old games as I usually dislike them, so getting more real old games is something that I can agree with.

For instance, GOG is ignoring the entire Commodore 64 scene, including new games which are still being released every year, albeit to a very niche audience.

Having said that, GOG still does some good work on bringing some old and obscure titles to the store.

I just bought "The Prince and the Coward" from the sale yesterday, and that being an old and obscure adventure game, that's the kind of stuff that I actually come to GOG for.

I was wondering when this week's edition of this thread would appear.

Remember, the Playstation 2, Nintendo Wii and Windows XP are now retro. Let that sink in for a moment.

But also, why moan about new releases when there's a whole catalogue of old games to play? Have you tried Ultima 4? DOOM? Settlers II? ZORK? KROZ? ZZT? MYST?

There's a criteria I'm basing this on, Game Center CX.
Well we just got a new Good Old Game now courtesy of Night Dive Studios

Morrowind and Deus Ex and Thief 2 are all the old games you'll need, my friend.
