Hello all, I just bought and downloaded Heroes 3 here, though unfortunately it does to seem to work. Whenever I run it, it first asks "Do I want to allow the ff program from an unknown publisher (GoG) to make changes to this computer?" I select yes, then after a few seconds get the message "Heroes of Might and Magic 3 has stopped working."

Can anyone help? Bit of a luddite here. I can say this is a practically brand new laptop, MSi Gp60 bought last Noember and that everything else runs fine. Thanks!

Hey, have you tried launching HoMM3 with the HD Mod? Highly recommended!

Alternatively, have you tried to switch the GPU device for the Heroes3.exe? You should be able to choose between your Nvidia card and the Intel chip via the Nvidia Control Panel.

Thanks, I switched the PhysX from GeForce GTX to PC but still have the same problem. Is this what you meant?

Nope, PhysX has nothing to do with that. Check out this Lenovo support article (even though you have an MSI laptop):

If you don't know which GPU has been used before make sure to try both GPUs and don't forget to save the settings in the Control Panel before you launch the game again. Also, don't forget to run the game as an admin.

Have you tried running the game with the HD mod?
