I thought about mentioning that one, but I decided that I already mentioned too many unsuitable games.

It's a really odd choice to call that game family friendly.

To call it "family friendly sale" is obviously a bit of a stretch, given the selection.

With… stuff like "Fishing simulator". (Yay!) THE classic game that every kid loves!

The perfect game for when you lack the fishing license to bore these kids to death on a real fishing trip, and give them the shock of their life clubbing the catch to death before cutting it open to rip out its guts.

You know? Classic "family friendly" activities. Because you want to teach them something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. (And have their parents perma-ban you from any future family affairs, because their kids refuse to touch fish and chips ever again.) Ahhh… good times!

A friend became a vegetarian after he was forced to watch the slaughter of several chickens.

I butchered some rabbits in my life and still eat meat.

And where you forced to do that when you were a small child? You do realize that there is a difference to doing something that you want and being forced as a child?

I did indeed see chicken getting butchered as a kid.
It wasn't something I was "forced" to, it was simply something that happened, and nobody was bothered, by me watching.

I was there as they tried (and failed) to slaughter a pig, when I was 10. Back then, when most people had raised pigs for their own consumption.

The licensed butcher attempted to give it a clean headshot, but missed and shattered the pig's jaw. The pig ran off and screamed in agony for more than half an hour, before they could catch it and put it out of its misery. (Luckily, I didn't see what was going on, I was only "around", since my parents knew better than to force me to watch. But I sure enough heard the screams. I suppose, the entire village did.)

I still didn't permanently turn full vegetarian until I was a student in university and had to handle meat prices on a student's budget. It's amazing how easy it is to give up steak when you earn 400 bucks a month, but have to pay 180 in rent, plus 40 in electricity and water, 30 for heating, and 50 for telephone and internet.

I had 20 bucks a week for food. So, I had to make a choice between meat or coffee. I went with coffee.

So completely different. He did not want to watch, but – as I wrote several times – was forced to watch in order to become more manly.

Ugh, what a dumb move to force a kid to watch that.
