vidsgame: A certain Saints Row 2 mission is really sad and actually did stop me in my tracks from continuing further on with the game.

i mean its quite... precise as topic go? still! think-think...
I could see that as a good topic but that's my opinion of course and it being subjective an all. There is a topic for games quit in 2018 or something like that but it's more open ended. I like focused topics but again, that's just me.

Telika: Again, didn't affect me
that much (I suppose something about games is blocking these emotions here, compared to other medias like novels, movies or songs), but hey, yeah, that's funny : after all these increasingly goofy sequels, I had forgotten how surprisingly brutal SR2 was at times. Strange game.
I found the pattern of the game going down in seriousness as the sequels get released. The first while still goofy compared to other games from the genre, is the most serious. Second one, is even more goofy but still has a clear story that does do it's job in driving the game. I think the third may have taken it further but I'm still replaying 2.
I could understand your emotions about it. A joke would make sense to me and I would find nothing funny about it. Same thing with something that's supposed incite a certain emotion but fails to do it because for me, it has to be stronger. I guess, I've seen that story in a 2 hour movie but when you've spent more than that in a game leading up to that moment and putting yourself in that world, it effects you sometimes. Sometimes.
