haven't played stardew yet mostly because it sounds like the complete opposite of stress relief.

Nothing could be further from the truth.
There are no time limits* or lives. You can overwork yourself, but you literally have to work to accomplish that. :D
And the only thing that happens anyway is the day ends earlier and you have to pay a measly hospital bill.

*Technically the day, and seasons, are time limited, but you seriously do not worry about them when you play.
Honestly - this game is just pure relaxation. =]

I spend ~75% of my time there just fishing. :D
Something's buggy. I see almost no discounts.

It's a Burger King like game: You can play it your way. I have played it in a very stressful way with spreadsheets open, inflexible timed goals, and restarting days that weren't good enough. I have played it in a eff it there's always tomorrow or next year way.
Banished is comfy and relaxing... Most of the times. I mean, it's all nice and dandy, until your firewood making guy dies at the wrong moment without a hier. Then you can 'relax' watching your village freezing to death. Slowly.
Thankfully, there's Colonial Charter mod that makes it happen much less.
Has anyone played Potion Permit?.
Worth it?. No mouse support hampers it? (dont use controller for my games ..)

I wrote a review for it, but to summarize:
Comfy and relaxing, everything and everyone is so chill. It has more of a focus on social bonds than alchemy/adventure. There is no farming in this, so don't expect Stardew/Harvest Moon.

Biggest issue.... it's way too grindy and repetitive! There was such artificial padding, I dropped it after 18 hours. I was probably only 2/3 through the story, but it should have ended much earlier than that. :/

I have no idea if the devs ever addressed the grind issue. If they did, I'd have enjoyed it a lot more.
[edit:] I don't know if they ever added mouse support either. I played with a controller, like a filthy betrayer of the PCMR. :P

I'd say if you're going to pick it up, only do it at a much bigger discount. 40-50% minimum.
But if you're like me and short on time, honestly, move on to something else. There are better games out there.

The banner on the main page uses Alba: A Wildlife Adventure screenshot - a game which fits the sale theme perfectly, but it's not on sale right now :-(
