black history is human history. It's not as special as people want it to be. Every race has suffered at the hands of another. Is it a form of narcissism? I think so.

It's more of a fad, trying to compensate obvious exploitation of Africa during the past century (that is more recent/ larger in scale than most of the other similar events directed against other continents. Still it's not a unique injustice moment in History)
Specific topics per se are not a wrong idea as long as they don't become something that has to be made compulsory or pushed unto people that are not interested in that paerticular field (if you don't have anything wrong with -fictitious examples- "Festival of Middle Ages' Europe" or "Workshop about electronics in 80's arcades" or "Comics from China: first attempts and new developments" why going against "Black History Month" except for finding it overrated?)

This is especially funny, since "Black History" is almost never about Africa. It's just about the US, slavery in the US, or US black activists. Like, how many games actually feature Africa, African peoples, or their culture/religion? Take for example God of War: Ragnarok - they didn't feature any deities from the African continent but instead just made Angrboda (from Norse Myths) black.

I don't see a clear divide between "History of American Blacks" and "History of Africa" when comes to exploitation. Still, if you say "Black History" the two should at least be linked.

why do you want to ban people and prohibit speech?

I mean, I could see if people were being terribly racist in this thread but it's totally harmless so far, if perhaps not exactly "enlightened".
(I'm pleasantly surprised it hasn't turned into something ugly)
