As the title says, the DLC for hand of fate is not sold on GoG for more than half a year. Anyone know why?

Oh dang. I thought they just updated their game on 20 Nov in GoG, they will be interested to bring the DLC here since they bother to support it.

I wouldn't keep your hopes up, though. Why they couldn't just make it a free update is beyond understanding. Regardless, they did not defend themselves when I asked them about the DLC and proper treatment of GOGers. They didn't give me the usual 'oh we are a small team, so steam comes first' bullshit, they just said I should get a refund if I didn't like it. I promptly replied by telling them that other one/two-man teams had no troubles updating on GOG "but I guess they just possess the capacity". I also told them I don't get refunds simply because the person who makes the game is an asshole, I get them for legitimate reasons. Soon after I made that reply to them, the latest update came here, but still no DLC.

No need to piss them off, but yeah, I am waiting for the DLC before I purchase the game. The DLC isn't some Steam-specific stuff, right?

It is a positive sign they are updating the GOG version though, so it doesn't seem like they have simply stopped supporting the GOG version.

timppu: No need to piss them off
If one person can piss off a game developer who aims to serve a large number of people, I'd hate to see what would happen if hundreds of people did the same thing. The same goes with any industry.

Of course there was no 'need' to piss them, but there was a need to voice my individual opinion and thoughts. Whether a fraction of a fraction of their user base could make businessmen emotional or not, shouldn't even be an after thought.

Anyway, good luck. Self-destructing takes way too long, so I'll just say BYE!!

Oh, and cya Gnostic. I don't think you're a cunt like 'sack cheese' says. You just got caught up in an argument, nothing more. If you or anyone else decides to take that 'outdated games' thread, and make your own; feel free to do so. Cheers.
The game also gets better discounts on Steam and Humble, but if they don't intend to bring the DLC here, maybe it's a good thing to dissuade GOG customers from buying it.

That's what this thread's doing already. I just kicked the game from my wishlist and will get it on Steam instead. I like GOG and I prefer DRM free. But I'm not going to buy (semi-)abandoned versions here. Not my problem if GOG can't do any "you have to release patches and DLC on GOG too" contracts.

I don't get this from a business point of view either... Imagine you're a publisher/dev interested in getting your games on GOG. You look around a bit and find games that don't get patches and DLC. What does this tell you? That GOG doesn't sell enough copies and that supporting a GOG version isn't worth your time -.- I wouldn't accept this in my store! Publisher/dev doesn't want to sign a "I will patch my game on GOG too"-clause? GTFO!
