Just wanting to pass on some feedback. In the future I'd like to be able to take advantage of GOG.com discounts all in one single transaction. I've noticed for some strange reason GOG.com segregates it's deals regardless of what they are. For instance I get an exclusive discount in my email I can't just add that game to the cart with that deal and then shop for more games before checking out. They're forcing multiple transactions which is really odd. Another example would be when you're offering 80% off on a select amount of games. If I select any of those games for purchase I can't select any games from outside of the deal before checking out.

Please fix this! Long time fan, but hate the check out process.

That's why I use the wallet feature. *shrug*

Oh, I absolutely agree, that sucks.

However, GOG doing such menial stuff in the most over complicated way possible, is sadly their usual MO.
And, knowing GOG, I don't expect them to change that in the forseeable future.

So - yeah, it's bad...but it could be even worse.
I'm thinking of the Epic store.

As far as I'm aware, they don't even have a "cart" to collect anything at all.
Over there, you have to purchase every single game and DLC in a separate process (at least that's how I have to do it, if I redeem their freebies).

Maybe that's a small solace?

:)

Thank you for your feedback! However, in this case, Newsletter discounts work differently than store discounts. Similar to redeeming a code, you will be forwarded to a different page and not your cart. That is why you can't add the game with the Newsletter discount and other games at the same time.

I wasn't really questioning why this occurs, I was simply stating that it's unusual/bothersome online store behavior and should be looked into to make the experience better for everyone. Certainly not a show stopper but frankly it has made me decide not to make purchases in the past from GOG. As I stated before it's not even just happening with special email discounts. I've found that special deals found directly on the GOG.com website can't be purchased with other titles at the same time either.

All of this could be solved if a proper store cart was created where all purchases whether discounted or part of a current sale could be purchased at one time. Don't forget that some people are charged international fees for every transaction made with GOG so that should give GOG even more incentive to make a proper cart. Anyway, just leaving my feedback about it. Happy gaming.

Yeah I post feedback like this for a lot of companies knowing full well I'll probably *never see any difference. I guess it some small way it makes me feel better knowing I at least expressed an opinion on the issue. I totally agree there's worse online shopping experiences out there including Epics. I can't understand how a company that has the money they do to give away games can't be bothered to create a proper online shopping experience. These folks need to takes some pointers from their competition in a big way. First fix the shopping experience then work social because it's non existent.
