We all unfortunately know how GOG is lacking in all sorts of sports games.
I'd like to draw your attention to the now almost forgotten art of pool games. The videogame market was never filled with them. Still it'd be good to at least have one here.

My first suggestion goes to the first one I ever played:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/archer_macleans_pool

If you'd be interested in these sort of games, please don't forget to add your votes or include your wishlist entries for other games in the genre.

Thanks.

My pool game of choice was Sharkey's 3d Pool

Agree. Poolbillard was always a nice go-to game, when you didn't know what else to play.

The first I remember playing was "Billiards" on the C64. Of course - we won't see this here.

Then I liked Hustle Kings on the PS3/PS4. Of course - we won't see this here, due to exclusivity.

Finally, one that's available on PCs: Pool Nation.

I was quite the pool shark when I was younger and I bought Virtual Pool 3 on the promise that it would improve my real pool games or I could get my money back. Naturally I was sceptical, but tried it out and found that it really did help, especially for practising trickier shots such as masses and multi-rail banks. I'd love to see that get a release here.

I think there was even an odd controller that allowed you to use a real cue to play.
Amiga version of Jimmy Whites Whirlwind Snooker would be nice.

I still have the DOS version of that which came bundled with an Amstrad 286 way back in the early 90's. That was the game where if you idle'd for too long, the target ball would pull faces at you. :-)

I don't keep up with snooker games these days but I know that "International Snooker" is DRM-Free on Humble.
I liked miniclip’s mini pool, it was a great little flash game back when. Funnily enough I saw it on iPad store recently and thought wow! Installed it, and it is a dreadful money grabber around the great old game. Avoid on iOS!

I would love to see this one here. I've tried asking the devs but so far it doesn't seem likely. Maybe if more people tried...

For Americans who do not know what the sport of Snooker is:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjSWUTkupQo

It's a form of billiards.

This form of billiards is unknown in the USA, since Americans have very little contact with British sports in general.

And the other Archer Maclean/Jimmy White's games:

Apparently, (line break because the forum software broke formatting)

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/pool_paradise is a sort of cousin game but doesn't have Jimmy White's in the title.
