Jolly and I are going to start our match now...
I just got beaten up badly by mefets dwarfes ... 1:0 and a completely demoralized Orc Team ;)
It was a good match, and again, luck was on the side of the dwarves.
Jolly nearly got me on the second half, but 4 consecutive go for it rolls allowed me to keep my advantage.
I think that game was less about bashing than expected, and more about manouvering our defenses.

Two people haven't picked their prizes yet, and I intend to carry the pool over while removing individual donations if told to. I wanted to do this one or two weeks ago but haven't gotten around to it yet. I hope I can find the time this weekend, but can't guarantee it, unfortunately.

I deferred until last, but I don't know who still hasn't picked off the top of my head.
I'd like to throw in a couple of prizes to the pool, if I may. Can someone contact me about this? Thanks :D

As I'm kind of the caretaker of the prize pool (though I don't have the stature of Santa Claus; well, I _do_ have a beard at the moment ;) ), please send me a PM. :)

Prizes can be donated by simply naming the game (I'll make a list later, like the one from last season). People can also send me gift codes, in that case the distribution of prizes might be quicker, as there will be two people who can send the code to the recipient. Either option is fine. :)

Cool. Thanks for the info :)
The match between my Underworld team and Mainosmies' Chaos team will take place on Sunday 8:30 p.m. GMT+1.
The match between Natural Disaster and Don't Blink is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) noon GMT+1. There is a chance that I'll be called away before the match starts, in which case we would probably try to reschedule for the evening. So far it's looking good for the noon timeline though.
Next time I get enough money to get another player, I'm going to get a player who'll never play and just be on the team. My team is made up of retired mixed martial arts fighters (hence the Undead Fighting Champions gimmick). Guys from years ago, who paved the way for modern UFC around the world; that I watched throughout my tenure as a fan (dating back to taped UFC's from 2000). Without them, there wouldn't be a modern MMA world.

A thirty year old fighter named Shane del Rosario, a current heavyweight in the UFC had two heart attacks back to back. As of right now, he's on life support but has no brain activity. They're going to evaluate him in seventy two hours, and make the call if he doesn't improve. I watched him pretty much come up from nothing on Strikeforce over the years from a young nobody to a potential world champion contender.

Even if he somehow made a recovery, he'll (most likely) never fight again. But I'm pretty depressed over this, given how I watched his career advance and he's only three years older then me, dying from something I went to the ER this last summer to try and avoid.

So in my meager way, it's the only way I can honor him.
Poor Shane. And this must be so hard for his family and friends. :-(
Hopefully they give him a little more time to see if he recovers brain functions. 70 hours seems to be so little time.

Same age as me :/

All sort of brain damage is sort of unpredictable. Some remain in vegetative state for the rest of their life while some recuperate close to 100% - some stay in coma or vegetative like state for months/years and just suddenly wake up.

I certainly dont qualify in that field, but from what ive read, it seems that sort of thing goes really unpredictably from one extreme to the other.

From what i read the news, it seems the situation can still go both ways - fingers crossed he will pullthrough it.

To Hawk, i suppose this can be seen in two ways - but wouldnt it be more fitting to try to make your Shane the best player in his RL-stead rather than "name trophy"? By no mean i dont mean any disrespect, but personally atleast id rather appreciate that I got the chance to be active "on the pitch" instead of keepsake name.

You know you have to field him anyways on the pitch, when you run under 12 healthy players.
