trusteft: Hmm, after double checking the games on sale at Steam...I don't know...
After 5 min with the GOG list (sale), I had 32 games on my cart (of which for now I bought 3). With Steam, after more than 5 minutes, I have 3 games in my cart and the only one which close to getting is Mafia 1.
Hmm.

I'm pretty much the opposite. I lived through the era out of which most of GoG's catalog comes from and even still I can't fathom people owning 30+ titles from it. I bought a grand total of one game during the GoG event because of the underwhelming discounts. Steam-wise, I'll probably spend around $50-$100 and get a few dozen games.
Interesting, I was born in the 70's so I too played or at least knew the games sold through gog. That hasn't stopped me lol.
About the steam sale, it's not that there aren't any good games on sale, it's just that the better games I already have or they are still too expensive for me, with the thought that, for example, F1 2010, yes it is at a nice price, but, by the time I will be able to play the game (Have yet to play the already bought Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake + many more), it will be Spring and I should be able to pick it up for even lower price.
I still might buy a couple of LucasArts games and Fear 2 or something.
