Rohan15: Is this a good deal?

acare84: Yes it is a good deal. Futuremark is adding bots to the game and playing with bots is really fun if you can't find to play anyone. So try it for free and if you like it you can buy.
OOOH! Me want the bots.

I bought it around release. Fun for a bit, but not something I can play for hours on end.
I CAN'T get the damn thing to load up for purchase info. Can someone gift me it and I pay them back later?
EDIT:
never mind, i got it finally after refreshing 11 times.

I might pick up SH in the next deal if the bots are ready by then.
Looks like this week is Spy week on Gamersgate.
Looks like it's going to be blah week for all the sites this week. Time to go through my wishlist.
Owners of Divinity 2 on either GamersGate or Steam can get the Dragon Knight Saga for 33% off on the respective service they purchased from.

This is actually better deal than just getting the expansion pack due to the Sagas containing additional changes not present in the expansion. Although there is apparently a patch in the works that will supply DKS content to owners of the FOV expansion, there's no ETA for it and no guarantee that it will provide all the changes.
BFG. First two persons to reply with his/her e-mail/PM address plus choice of A or B, gets:

A) a gift code for Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, free.

B) a code to reduce a game from full price to $2.99.

Somewhat related...

Do GamersGate games have some hard copy protection (the ones labeled DRM-free)? I know they have some kind of activation or something?

I want to get a game or two from there. I'm asking because it is quite possible that later I'll make a custom installer of that game (for example, with added mods and stuff like that).

Is it just one-time online activation, and then I am free to do whatever I want?

Once the downloader app is finished, it will roll in to an installation program. So to install the game, you do need the app (which needs a GG server connection). However, for 99% of the games on the service, there is a simple workaround to avoid that. Once it's done downloading (and BEFORE you install it!) you copy the numbered folder inside the Gamersgate Temporary Files folder (which will be located at whatever download location you chose) elsewhere. That way, the Install program will remain in the form of an executable file even after the app is done running, letting you install the game in the future without needing a server connection.

Great. Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'll make an account there soon. :)

You're welcome. Enjoy paying GG many, many, MANY dollars for many games (a pain I know too well).
Or Blue Coins! Don't forget the Blue Coins!

I prefer red coins a la Mario 64.

This is helpful as I have been backing up the exectuable and the temp folder to disc so I don't have to download every time I reinstall. But from disc, it does require that I have an online connection to sign into GG for verification before the installer will run. That's not all that bad but sometimes I worry that it might be next decade that I'm pulling a game out again and GG (heaven forbid) may no longer be in existence.

Zeno Clash + OST 75% off ($3.75); I think you can register the serial on Steam...
