Hawk52: What's the opinion of Valley without Wind 1 & 2 nowadays? I like platforming. I like TBS. Can anyone whose played one or both give some thoughts?
Great music
Flawed as hell.
Ugly as sin.
Still, strangely addictive, both of them. Janky platforming with delightful music and an amazing scope, but they fell short on goodness on the implementation. Both times. Still very worth it at that pricepoint. The first one has no end other than what you impose on yourself and has more complex layouts to navigate, while the second has more straightforward levels, with an overworld that is rather reminiscent of Actraiser, where you have to manage a set of survivors and build structures to survive.
They are both very interesting, even if they are not good for everyone, in my opinion.
