I got a spicy blip on the radar this week, namely Love Tavern.

Jupiter Hell Classic, the commercial version of DoomRL (now know as DRL) will - most probably - be released also on GoG.

Quoting developer:

Probably so, if GoG will have us :)

Jupiter Hell is here, so I see no reason why gog would decline Jupiter Hell Classic.

The original DRL remains free on the ChaosForge website and will continue to receive updates alongside the new Jupiter Hell Classic version. Jupiter Hell Classic will be your official way to own and play DRL on Steam, and support ChaosForge in continuing development of the entire series, now spanning over 20 years.

Rendering Ranger: R² [Rewind], a formerly SNES exclusive game in the same vein as Turrican is currently being worked on by Ziggurat Interactive. It will come to GOG, Steam, PS4, PS5 and Switch.

Considering the game already has a game page we could even call this officially announced.

That's awesome. DoomRL is one of my favourite games ever. I like it way more than the original DOOM.

mechmouse: Procedural Crime investigation game "Shadows of Doubt" should be coming to GOG
On or around the 26th of September, then.

Although looking at the overdue GoG release of Gestalt (another Fireshine-published title) "at a later date" seems more likely?

Oh how I wish that someone had made a game based on the original movie and / or the animated series, rather than the remake...

No it won't, thanks to GOG's baffling streak of ball drops.

This was *officially* confirmed. The release date trailer had the effing GOG logo in it, front and center. Which extremely few developers would even do these days.

It's bewildering how they could fuck this up. This was a certified home run for them.

The game's been available for two hours on Steam. One of the reviews opens with the words: "THIS is the game that made me register on Steam, way back in 2010". LOL.

Is it delayed or cancelled? I can't find any information either way.

There was hardly anyone working on GOG today, tomorrow is a holiday and the next day bridges with Sunday. Something might be coming on Monday.

They do have a national holiday tomorrow, which of course means that they should have done their utmost to release today, a completely normal work day, because they won't release tomorrow.

This is beyond unprofessional.

Games that occasionally release here "day one" are the main thing that keeps this platform alive, you'd really think GOG would leap at any chance developers would offer. But apparently they don't. Maybe they're looking for a cheap excuse to shut the whole platform down.

Yeah, I'm just a humble messenger, unfortunately by now we know that GOG's organization leaves much to be desired.

Symphonia dev is making a hint that the full new version of the game is coming to GOG!

They also are saying that the Student Project they released here for free is going to be delisted.

Have you forgotten that GOG staff usually posts things to release in their absence? I've seen that happen quite a bit. There's a good chance the game is already set to publish on release. This is also why we didn't get many games this week. They're probably set to drop today. So be patient. If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow.
