[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic. (this one)
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

The-Business: On HumbleBundle Mobile is a newsletter subscription box offering 'Devil's Attorney' for free, but subscribing to the newsletter doesn't add it to my library. What am I doing wrong?
You're subscribing to the newsletter? I removed the tick from the checkbox, already had the email filled since I was logged in, then I clicked submit. Got the "click here for your key" prompt, and got a page with the game (and ad for the Humble Mobile Bundle 9). Let me check if it's added to the library or if I have to claim the page.

Edit: Can't seem to find a link in my library, not sure if I can access the game from the Humble App. So best to keep the email with the keypage for now.

BenKii: Dragon Age: Origins free at Origin.com.

Link
Thank you for the tip. If only Origin was not such a crappy service.
I try to login, and it asks for a security code sent in my email. I look in my email and find nothing. After 30 minutes the email arrives but Origin has loged me out by that time. So I try to login, and it asks for the NEW security code sent in my email, and so on, and so on........

Interesting. I didn't encounter this problem.

Maybe it's because I live in the exotic and far off country of Greece, which is very difficult to reach electronically......
See photo. 6 emails, each one arrived with a 30+ minutes of dealy.

I finally loged in my work computer which is (suprisingly) recognised and doesn't require a security code.

Is Kodikos "code"? If so, that's awesome. 5 semesters of Greek here and I still can't read hardly anything. :)

P.S. But I learned a TON about English. You really have to know your grammar to even begin to construct Greek sentences.

Modern Greek or Ancient Greek? And why 5 semesters? O_o
Excellent. It was ancient Greek (Koine) as part of my seminary education. We did 5 semesters of Greek and Hebrew each. I had a friend taking modern Greek and I'd relay things to her and we discovered that they were vastly different. I got a CD to practice modern Greek, but I've yet to use it in, oh, 7 years. :) I had such aspirations when I was younger!

I also had a Jewish classmate who knew Hebrew like the back of her hand taking Hebrew with me and she said the old stuff isn't quite like the new stuff. The Bible was written over so much time that the language transforms while you read it. It's pretty neat stuff.

I like languages, but I'm not very good at learning them without being immersed in it. So I learn it, then it flushes out.

Ancient Greek is vastly different to Modern Greek, and I doubt there are many Greeks that are able to understand Ancient one. You will find more able to understand (and maybe write) Katharevousa, but that is because it was used until the 70s or so as the official language.

So I'd say it's similar to studying Latin and expecting to understand Italian, though that may be easier ;)

Haha. Too true. Even if the word is spelled the same, people pronounce most vastly different now.

A Greek friend in a math class would say "pie" as "pee." And "Meou" would be "Moo." We thought he was obsessed with going to the bathroom and cows for a short time until the teacher asked him "Why do you keep saying pee and moo?" "You're mispronouncing my letters," he said. It was too true.

Anyhoots, you guys have a good language. You can convey a lot quickly and it looks prettier than English. And it's marginally easier to play Hangman or Wheel of Fortune. :)

Oh, and thanks for the link! I had no idea Greek had changed so much in recent history. I'm amazed that it can change so much so quickly.
