Trying out a multiple choice poll. We're going by original release dates.

It's 1995 and the world is a gunboat in a sea of fear! Finally back on track with this thing though that said I can't say when the next year's poll will be right now. Anyway, we're now a couple of years into the 5th console gen and there's not yet any clear commercial winner (though perhaps a few losers in the CD-i, Jaguar and 3DO?) while the 16-bit consoles are also still doing well, so these are interesting and aurally diverse times indeed. Technically but also stylistically. Sega is again at the forefront of the former with well produced cd audio soundtracks, arcades stay focused on sequenced music but it's starting to become indistinguishable from cd audio to the average vgm enjoyer, while talented composers are pushing the SNES and MD sound chips to their absolute limits (and the FM chips on the JP computers). PC audio is still rather messy, but also rather interesting if you love hearing multiple takes on an OST or very different audio between games.

I'll suggest considering creativity, composition, technical achievement, emotional impact and so on. And to say something about your favorite(s), it's more fun to read!

If an OST isn't in the poll list, it's mosty likely on the page linked to below and you can still vote for it (pick Other and mention it here), so don't worry. You can do a search with ctrl+f in various browsers.

For some perspective, the best music albums according to besteveralbums:

You know, Chrono Trigger might possibly have the best video game soundtrack of all time, if not, definitely somewhere in the top 5. Lufia 2's soundtrack is also fantastic.

I'm surprised Tyrian isn't listed here, that soundtrack's also among my all-time favourites.

Austrobogulator: I'm surprised Tyrian isn't listed here, that soundtrack's also among my all-time favourites.
Or transpot tycoon deluxe...
Ok, you want those to count as votes for those two or what? They are on the full 1995 list I linked to.

The poll list was based on gamefaqs and mobygames ratings on the games themselves mainly, but also googling the best 1995 games.
Tyrian and TTD weren't among the best-selling PC games, but I know they're pretty popular. Had I listed even more PC games I would've added Mechwarrior 2, Dark Forces and Phantasmagoria before them.

Warcraft 2, Command&Conquer definitely, and like Austrobogulator mentioned: Transport Tycoon Deluxe which isn't one of the options.
