I managed to install the widescreen mods, but I think it wasn't the issue in the 1st place. My issue is that i would like to know if there is a way to make the map size smaller that it's not so large. That you are able to see more items on the screen itself. The view are is to large. And this is not fixed with the wide screen mod. See the red circled area i mean in the pic.
Is there a way to zoom out to see more of your city?

Well. Don't use the widescreen mod, play the game with the focus and resolution it was intended, if I am not wrong, it was 800x600 or 1024.768

I suppose that higher forced resolutions will end up in tiny sprites, or weird glitches in the world trade map because of the widescreen forced resolution

Anyway I remember that in the main map the resolution patch worked fine at least in the main map. tiny sprites aside.

If you were using Linux, I could suggest Gamescope, which is nice at spoofing resolutions, but the scaling of tiny buttons designed for 12 inch monitors is always going to be a problem for older games.
