Good music.

(SPOILER warning: shows the ending parts of the game too.)

And it was otherwise also a solid Sierra adventure, more aimed to younger people but good for adults too.

I haven't properly played the sequel though.

Well, if you insist :D
Basically, as you may see from their name, it's another "Quest" series from Sierra. This one is more suitable for children as it can be described also as educational. But the gameplay is classical point'n'click.
Yes, we really need the Eco Quest series on GOG.

The first game offers excellent Roland MT-32 music, and full speech. Unfortunately the second game was disk only, so no speech at all.

I never had chance to play second game, it is too rare, and continues to sell for crazy prices on eBay. Surely it would be better for GOG to make some money from these games.
I'm still waiting for Laura Bow.

Ahhh.... those damned eBay listings with the ridiculously inflated prices. "Rare" my a$$.. While I do prefer retail boxes over digital distribution, to pay some second hand copy 2-3 times its retail price or worse (and maybe not in very good condition or unable to run it properly to newer systems) looks like a dumb thing to me.

Fever_Discordia: Freddy Phreakas...
Geez, Pharkas! :p
It's an English spelling of Hungarian word Farkas, which means wolf. ;)

I'd buy them and Sierra's other adventure games if they showed up on GOG. They probably won't though, considering Gold Rush was picked up, re-released and remade and it never showed up here.

Wishlist link to all of them, because why not I guess:

Code-Name: ICEMAN
The Colonel's Bequest
Conquests of Camelot
Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood
The Dagger of Amon Ra
EcoQuest: The Search for Cetus
EcoQuest 2: Lost Secret of the Rainforest
Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist
Gold Rush!

+1

Especially Dagger of Amon Ra is one of my favourite adventures. The atmosphere in this bloody egyptian night in the Leyendecker Museum was great.
Classic Sierra games might just be the only instabuys for me.
The Dr Brain series, Willy Beamish, Heart of China, Rise of the Dragon...
