Green_Hilltop: What do you mean that you can end up with nayone in the game? You mean as your Page? How does it happen, what are the criteria for someone becoming your Page?

AnimalMother117: It's really weird. Your Pawn is not an option, but there's a heavy spoiler attached to that. Basically, near the end the game picks your "dearest" I think they call it and it can almost literally be anyone. If you spend lots of time talking to the inn keeper and no one else the game may pick him. Likewise, if you talk to this one girl who gives you quests the game may assume that as well. It should be denoted visually by a pinkish purple aura about them, but I heard that if you neglect to romance anyone then the game picks based on somewhat ambiguous criteria. For me, I gave tons of gifts and talked a lot to Mercedes but I heard more than once that someone got the inn keeper.

Also, the game will nudge you toward a few more concrete characters but ultimately, if you like a character who has only two lines of dialogue you can make it happen.
Pssssh haha, right! However it's sad that people would be offended just because they'd get an innkeeper or a 'fat, little girl' when they were the ones you talked the most to.

I'm not certain it was offense really, but the game kinda springs it on you in a surprise sort of way. It's also very ambiguous, I had to work pretty hard to get the person I wanted. The game also handles relationships weird. There was at least one other character who got the aura for me and certain events that would have dramatically altered a normal person's relationship with another that just end up being completely forgotten.

Except that can be a serious problem. Whoever the game picks as your love interest, moves to your hometown and opens a shop for the entire post game (perhaps all New Game+ playthroughs as well, I'm not certain). The innkeeper is the only character who can change you or your pawn into the advanced or mixed vocations. That means if the game picks him two thirds of the game's classes will be locked to you forever.

If I hadn't intentionally pulled my sword on him to lower his affection, it would definitely have been him at the end of the game. I tried for Mercedes and still ended up with someone else, it's always a bit of a dice toss who you'll end up with in that game. I think it's hilarious, but a lot of people don't enjoy having that screwing with their game.

In the PC version though, with mods and console commands, this shouldn't be a problem.

P.S.: As for the gameplay, it's completely different from Dark Souls. This is Capcom so it's a lot faster and more action packed. You could conceivably launch someone into the air and hit them with an aerial combo. Also, I like that the game recognizes headshots with a bow and you can deal more damage that way.
