If GOG received "many messages from gamers" wanting a game featuring LGBT representation to be pulled from the store, do you think they would listen?
Or do you think in such a circumstance they would grow the spine to stand up to "gamers"?

Maybe we should do an experiment. Get as many "gamers" to demand The Witcher franchise be removed from GOG.com.
Surely if enough "gamers" demand it, they'll have no choice but to listen to the concerned customer base and remove those offending games, right?

What if they suddenly received several messages from gamers asking them to release the game? What would they do?

Probably what Hollywood is doing for fear of losing a big market in China. :(

Nice move GOG, you fucking cowards! How about having a backbone and actually following through with the release you planned?

GOG continues just to spew fecal material all over. There's no rational reason for this decision. UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING to get bought out by TenCent as one last screw-over for all of your long-term customers.

I'm insulted, CDP. Genuinely insulted. Going back on this decision was bad enough, but you're really saying the gamers wre the reason? If you don't want to blame we-all-know-who, at least don't go blaming another scapegoat.

I was already pissed at you for many, many reasons, but this? Now you simply make me sick.

GOG, you are fucking cowards.

Bunch of spineless cowards. GOG can say goodbye to my money from now on.

We were all excited about this release, it doesn't make any sense their statement. It's ridiculous.

Someone really needs to have a conversation with the CDPG investors about how CDPR and GOG management keep wrecking their competitive advantages (DRM-free stability, anti-censorship stance [as seen previously with the adoption of visual novels after Steam kicked them out categorically]). Seriously, without these couple few competitive advantages, the company has NOTHING going for it.

One more stupid action taken by GOG because people on Twitter were complaining?

That's incredibly pathetic honestly!!

If they wet their pants about offending some Chinese nationalists and don't want to release the game, that's one thing, but announce the game and then, because of a some of twitter idiots, remove it a couple of hours later makes it even worse.

Stop pandering to """Gamers""" GOG

The developer's post is not even a day old and even included a store page link.

If only gog was this quick in fixing stuff that is broken, eh?

I wanted this but....

Do you think the Chinese government threatened them not to release it? It wouldn't be the first time.
