UPDATE: after receiving a lot of precious feedback from the gamers, creators of Danger Scavenger have decided to make it even more fun. That’s why the game has changed its status on GOG.COM to In Development as it awaits further updates and insights from our community. Among the announced expansions to the game these are confirmed already:

· two game modes to choose from: arcade and roguelike
· new game + in roguelike mode
· leaderboards
· workshops for crafting while playing on skyscrapers
· diversified level shapes
· curse system
· secrets
· new content (items, weapons, etc.)
· optimization

Considering the amount of work that needs to be done, the full version of the game will be released no later than the console version before the end of 2020, yet the first additions should arrive in upcoming months. Right now, you can buy Danger Scavenger on GOG.COM with a 10% discount lasting until 9th July 2020, 5 PM UTC.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.
Wow, how do you spin, "we released this game in such a bad state that we can't call it a normal release anymore"

Have you played this game at all? If not, how do you come to that conclusion?

A release Linux ?

the FAQ does offer some hope for native support.

Weird. Guess someone hit the "launch" button too soon.

I congratulate Devs for their decision which to outsider like me seems they have balls.

Yes this is indeed good and shows the dev atleast value quality over rapid releases and try to make the best games he can, after all it's the intention that matter the most and in an age where most devs try to reach for your pocket as fast as possible i can do nothing else than applaud this desicion.

I have nothing against delaying or improvising games that need it, such desicions should be encouraged.

I, for one, congratulate the devs for this decision. I bought the game and it definitely is fun as is, but it's also lacking... something.

Most of all, I'm glad they're addressing optimization issues, because, as good as it is, I ended up uninstalling it due to the fact that it doesn't run all that smoothly or load all that quickly (also, on some levels the weapons are "locked" for a few minutes, so you have to run around like crazy, avoiding enemies, before you can attack back, which sucks). I don't regret buying it, but now I do feel I'm supporting people who actually deserve it and care about their customers.

Best of luck, guys!

It's not in that bad of a state at all to be fair

It must be that to switch from full release to early access?

That's fair then, something like this just gave a weird impression.

If it helps to provide some frame of context, they were planning on adding stuff from the off, so i guess instead of big updates it made more sense to be 'in development' you can read a little more about it on their Steam page here - https://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=1169740

Additionally, i did interview the dev and the topic was covered if you're looking for some background noise during the day and a little extra light on the game - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOCZjQg0Bw4

Linko64 has already said everything worth knowing about the early access.
Additionally i can say, the game is quite fun in it's current state. But since i'm not the biggest fan of roguelikes, i'm happy about the development of an arcade mode. So i'll get more than i expected.
Out of curiosity, how does the refund process work in this situation, given that in-dev games have a two week 'no questions' policy (however, the game could have been purchased BEFORE it was deemed in-dev)?
