Recently, the Steam Helpdesk site had a few leaks that revealed some of the games devs have in the hopper. Among them was Dangan Ronpa 1 + 2. For those unfamiliar, Dangan Ronpa is a series of adventure games that started out on the PSP (and on VIta in the US) that basically play out like a bizarro version of Battle Royale. It's kind of like Phoenix Wright meets Persona 4. It's one of the craziest, most stylish games that's probably ever come out of Japan, and it's absolutely worth buying once it comes out on PC.

I'm confident GOG will find an arbitrary reason to block it from coming here, but it's definitely worth a look wherever it does release.

Thanks for the news! This is interesting! I have read the manga adaptation, it rocks!
That's great to hear! Loved the first but my Vita's memory was full (those great proprietary memory cards of theirs!), ended up never going through the trouble of trying to make up space in it, so never played the sequel. Would definitely buy it on PC when it comes out.

If I was going to describe them, I would put them in the sliding scale of Visual Novel to Adventure Game like this:

Hatoful Boyfriend -> Dangan Ronpa -> Phoenix Wright -> Hotel Dusk
Hopefully NIS America / Nippon Ichi Software won't be averse to bringing those games (and others like Disgaea) to GOG. Here are some wishlist entries:

Voted. Let's hope they make their way here.
Interesting.

Bullet Confutation. I had to look up what confutation ment.

Voted.
If it's as shitty as the anime, then I'll pass.

It is not. I played both games. I quit watching the anime after 2 episodes as it was just THAT awful.

The anime was terrible. Don't let that hamper your enjoyment of the games.
I will not be getting this game.

1. The game is not of a genre I am interested in. (This I would consider to be enough of a reason to not buy a game, and is why I haven't bought any of the point-and-click games available on this site.)

2. The game apparently has some content that could be considered transphobic.

1. Ok
2. I don't know what content you're referring to.

It involves a character named Chihiro.

Here are a couple blog posts that describe the issue (note that there are spoilers here, and the second one also discusses Persona 4):

http://www.mammonmachine.com/mammon-machine-central-routing/2014/9/27/how-to-deal-with-transphobic-characters-in-otherwise-delightful-anime-video-games

(I choose to link to blog posts rather than give an answer myself because I have not actually played the game or watched it being played, so I don't have first hand experience of the game.)

Edit: Fix minor grammar issue.

I know what he's referring to with point 2, and I suppose that if you have the thinnest of thin skins, it could be considered mildly offensive. It's a dumb reason to avoid the game, but then, the poster said he isn't interested in the genre to begin with, so I can only surmise that he wanted an excuse to ramble on about his perceived slights.
Time for the happy dance!

Weird, didn't even bother me when I played it.
