Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but I feel like running such a contest may be a bit risky, especially when the songs have to be original, which is a given. At first, upon reviewing all the entries by the participants, sure CDPR may say that not a single of the submitted songs are based on a copyright-protected music, and even if they were to find one, they sure will not make the participant as one of the winners (if there's going to be more than one winner). But I've seen videos on YouTube where some popular songs get debunked and showcased side by side with the original songs from which those songs plagiarize. Of course, please take note that I'm no expert when it comes to this kind of stuff, and I've even read or watched somewhere that it's normal for some songs to sound similar with each other. But my point is, just because CDPR can't find the faults now doesn't mean they won't later, and worse, when the players are the ones who beat them to it (in which case the expansion has been released). Would the blame goes to CDPR for overlooking it, or the participant? Either way,
I smell danger!
And btw, nice music! It really fits the nighttime cyberpunk aesthetics.
